I have to ask the question....why is your playing field 100% turf?

that kinda blew me away watching this series....it's not that hard to maintain dirt....

Charlotte baseball has been forced to postpone and cancels dozens of games over the years due to snow/rain. The Niners lost a combination of eight games last season and 14 over the past two due to weather. I assume putting in a solid drainage system wasn't cost effective or it wouldn't have solved the problem since the baseball field in a low lying area near Toby Creek. #firehibbs

49er, I was listening to yesterday's game and the USM radio announcers commented on Dale Jarret's son being a player on your baseball team. They then mentioned the fact that there were several buildings that were devoted to motor sports. Can you elaborate on that please.

Charlotte has a great College of Engineering and one of the programs within the COE is Motorsports Engineering, which has its own building and labs, etc. (the Kulwicki Motorsports Building).

Even though we ARE Nascar country the program sends graduates to a large variety of jobs (ie; not just Nascar teams).

No, I realize that. I guess I was being a bit stereotypical. My apologies. I would say powerboat, open-wheel, off-road, motocross, etc. apply as well.

By the way, Rice has moved to #25 in the Baseball America poll, and Utah, with a 10-14 record, is #30 in the CBN poll. No problem with Rice of course, but Utah?...Hilarious

Utah is 7-2 in the PAC-12, but I agree. I've always liked the Utes though.. BYU is also looking very good this year.

Oh no, its fine. I thought maybe you actually thought it was just NASCAR related. Those all probably apply, but my understanding is that lots of grads have gone to work in F1 and of course to car companies and ancillary companies.
