RE: MLB 2016 season thread
saw Cy Young finalists...
AL-
Kluber, Porcello, Verlander
NL-
Hendricks, Lester, Scherzer
so in NL- top 3 FIP don't get it. 4/5/7 finalists.
AL- 1,2,4 FIP finalists. but also 2,4,5 ERA guys.
interesting if the playoffs were factored, I think Kluber and Hendricks would probably get it. But they aren't. I like Porcello AL and then NL it's so close. I'll say Hendricks.

RE: MLB 2016 season thread
so I was wrong about the NL being close- Scherzer won big.
The AL vote crazy. Verlander got most 1st place votes, but lost by 5 votes total. Porcello 26 1st/2nd place votes to only 16 for Verlander.

Two voters left Verlander off their ballots. That's unbelievable.

It wouldn't have mattered. 4th place votes 2 points so if both were 4th he would have been 1 vote out.
