im sure ecu fans have made up "their" mind who they think it will be but summers will definitely be in the competition

Being that the coaches have all but said he isn't I'll take their word over yours nothing personal. I think Summers gets some snaps in very limited packages and then plays TE/H back/all over the place the rest of the time, which is what our TE coach said on the subject past week.

they didn't say that ...the only quotes the coaches have said is that he will be on the field in some capacity...and it was more of insinuating that if he doesn't win the job that he wont be holding a clipboard on the sideline

scottie just last week said he is not closing the door on anything ..even using 2 qbs like last year, if he feels that is the best chance to win...but he would rather have 1 guy

Why is it that you think you know more about what will happen with ECU football than ECU fans? I've listened to a lot of stuff and I'd be surprised if Summers was even being considered at QB. All signs point to a battle between Benkert and Nelson. As for Summers, it appears he'll either be receiving catches and/or getting the ball handed to him.

Well, it appears Summers is finding his role

I'm still shock at how UCF took a disappointing nosedive after a very successful BCS run by defeating the Big 12's top gun.

The AAC is a good football league and those who can't hack it will quickly be exposed.

I would think UCF fans are more shocked. I still don't think I've seen a team that was so inept and defeated before the games even started. It didn't help they were pseudo led by Don Key-xote. You know that guy that's terrible at his job and everyone else carries him? That's Brent Key.

Since Spring Practice has been closed to media and fans (normally open to all), the Spring Game will see a lot of firsts for UCF new Offense and Defenses schemes.

Unlike past years, where 1's played the 2's and so on....this year players will have a draft so the team/units will be split up and mixed.

UCF is putting on a UCFastival on Saturday...which includes 10 hours of TAILGATING, Baseball Game, Concerts, Motorcross Show and VIP Experiences.

http://ucfastival.com/

Here's a list of just some of the things going on for UCF's first ever Night Spring Game:

Free GKC Parking Lots open at 9 AM for Tailgating (E3, E6, Softball and Baseball...open to all)

UCF Football Alumni Softball Game at 10 AM.

Noon: First time ever for a Spring Game: Memory Mall spots will be available too (2/3 already reserved) as Garage C, Garage D, Lot D2 and Garage H also open up then.

Noon Baseball Game vs USF

2:30 pm VIP Experience Tents open (4 1/2 hours prior to kickoff)

2:30 pm IOA Plaza and Fun Zone Opens

3 pm: First of 3 Motorcross Shows

3:30 pm First Concert begins

4 pm: 2nd Motorcross Show

4:30 pm: 2nd Concert begins

5:15 pm: 3rd Motorcross Show

5:45 pm: Headline Concert Begins

6 pm: Stadium Gates Open

7 pm: Kickoff

Post-game: Fan Field Access

RE: Spring Practice Central:
Tulane biggest questions are on the offensive side of the ball. I believe they only have three scholarship WR's on the team (with four freshman coming in). QB is a complete question mark as Tanner Lee who transferred would not have worked in this system and currently the three scholarship QB's on the team.... Yeah....

Glen Cuillette who is a RS So will probably get the nod (however his only time on the field was for a victory formation snap) but will split time with true freshman Darius Bradwell (or possibly Jonathan Brantley if he comes in killing it in fall).

Also on the team is Devin Powell who not only is not very accurate but also has little athleticism. If he is still on the team in the fall and taking meaningful reps at practice we will be in for a long season.

Also the offensive line is going to be a patch job simply cause the limited depth. My guess as the moment would have Todd Jacquet at LT, Chris Taylor at guard, Junior Diaz at Center, with John Leglue, Kenneth Santa Maria, and maybe a dark horse like Keyshawn McLeod (only cause he is a smaller lineman) will round out the rest.

There is some talent on the team, just not enough. If Tulane wins the same amount of games as last year I personally will be happy. The schedule isn't exactly murders row but the offense will take some time getting players to run it.

Do we even know what system Tulane will be running? I know Fritz ran the option at Georgia Southern... but that's mainly because Georgia Southern always ran the option. I don't think the same will be true at Tulane..

From what I have gathered it will be a multiple option offense. If I was guessing I would say mostly read option with double and triple option thrown in. Obviously this depends on how well the QB's can pitch the ball.

Personally I wish he would have done more of a pass happy offense since Tanner Lee might have lit up the score board with some good coaching. But he gets paid to coach I get paid to pleasure fat women.....

It will be interesting to have to teams running the option in one division.

Yes. Some expected Woulard to beat out Flowers.

Asiantii Woulard is starting for the green team for Saturday afternoon's Green and White intrasquad game with backup Robles. Flowers is starting for the white team w/backup Kean.

RE: Spring Practice Central:
Tulane will run a variation of the up-tempo read option that will emphasize the run. Tulane will not run the triple option. The service academies, GATech & GA Southern are the only FBS teams that run the triple option. The read option & triple option are very different offensive schemes that require a fundamentally different approach that is not interchangeable. Any comments by Coach Fritz about running "the single option, double option & triple option" is nonsense coach speak.
BTW: If Tulane's rag-tag o-line can pull off a miracle and perform well in 2016, watch out as they may have the most talented depth at running back of any AAC team.

Didn't seem to be much separation between Benkert and Nelson in the spring game.

Nelson completed 13-of-24 passes for 231 yards, while Benkert was 12-of-25 for 216 yards and a touchdown.

USF held their Spring Game yesterday on campus at our soccer field over 4,000 attended and Flowers left no doubt that he will be our starter. Kean and Woulard had similar stats and I think both will play during the year as back ups. Two different styles. The offense looked very good with plenty of talented receivers this team will score a lot of points.
Excited for the regular season to start
