A) Do we have to cheat in order to meet the expectations (Sweet 16 every 4-5 years)

B) Are expectations too high - because almost half of the time we've made the Sweet 16, we've cheated to get there.

Vernon was talking about this today...curious?

depends on what you call cheating. you cant recruit from a competitive disadvantage

How exactly did Memphis cheat in 2008? I don't think anyone accused John Calipari of taking the SAT for Rose.

I think college hoops are very dirty. Just like politics are. I don't give a frogs fat *** that Dana gave the greatest Tiger of all time money in a shoebox. Heck even the late great Big Jack Eaton offered to give Dana some big cash that he said was in his locker to get Keith Lee here. As for the vacated crap. I was at the games and they count to me. Josh disrespects our program, he foolishly brings up the vacated sweet 16's that we had. He is so weak for getting on the radio and saying that crap. You don't dis the school you work for and made you a millionaire just so you can try and make yourself look better by tearing the school down and trying to make yourself look good. All of the vacated wins COUNT in my Book.

Tic/JJ era: 3 seasons, no NCAA = Fired
Calipari: Cheated
Pastner: 0 S16's in 7 years = Fired

Pastner isn't incorrect about our program's history. But if you don't cheat, you also don't keep your job. That's also a part of Tiger history.

As long as we are dishing out top dollar we should be able to get a coach who is successful and plays by the rules. There are enough advantages (recruiting, arena) here for that.

Here's a fact for you - Calipari's Elite 8s and Sweet 16 at Memphis are NOT vacated.

like someone that called into Vernon's show said..............Will Barton did not come here out of the goodness of his heart or because of Derrick Rose or Tyreke Evans or the Tiger brand.

All this cheat or don't cheat talk is dumb. All those coaches fish out of the same toilet bowl including Josh. Just shut up and get results.
