Certainly tough to speculate with any certainty but if I had to wager I'd say the odds are good that they've got something done.

So you thinking they worked this out during game?

Really? Um, no.

Why did whoever post about halftime public handshakes, etc? I personally think they are still working out details with understanding Josh is gone. Both sides are holding firm. Fact deal is not done is reason Josh is trashing programs history, bringing up B12, bragging about his win totals, etc.

If it were DONE deal, he couldn't legally say those things as most parting of ways deals are written. Think Tigers learned that lesson with Tommy West.

Basically the same thing I'm saying, along with others. I'm sure there are I's to dot and T's to cross.

I didn't see the conversation, but I don't doubt something of substance might have been discussed. But given the sensitive nature and gravity of the situation, why would they be so "public" about it?

Wins out as in wins the rest of the games before the AAC Tourney
Still Fired
Wins out as in wins the rest of the games including the AAC Tourney
May get him a job somewhere else but if not probably still fired.
Wins out as in wins the rest of the games including the AAC Tourney and NCAA Tourney
Leaves on his own

Maybe to help hush some of the public scrutiny they're under at the moment?

We will not be that fortunate.

Would you take a settlement of $.60 to $.70 on every dollar rather than the full amount?

Nope ... I would take every dime owed me, and so would anyone else ... No benefit in taking less ...

It's a business. Priority is not always about today's money but future money. Best to get out without damaging potential future business negotiations.

I don't think there was anything of substance in terms of a deal or payoffs being discussed but there was certainly something important shared between Bowen and Pastner at that moment.

But in this case, there is a contracted and as I understand it; no "offset clause" which means any other job he gets is compensation on top of what the University of Memphis owes him ....

Bill Laurie was not there. One of the two "other guys" was Steve Earhardt. Josh hugged Martin coming out for the second half.

I disagree. Pastner holding this program hostage with that ridiculous contract is hurting his future job prospects. He is a relatively young man with the opportunity to have a long career coaching basketball, something he has stated as being all he has ever wanted to do. Other AD's are seeing this and taking note. He was in over his head here, benefitted from myopic thinking from a University President who wasn't the least bit interested in college athletics apparently (in Raines), and an inept AD to agree to a contract that large with no buyout. Other AD's will not fall for this, and Pastner is a smart guy and should understand this. If he wants to coach again, he needs to negotiate buyout that is reasonable, or this money will be the last significant payday he gets through coaching.
