I'm will be starting my Disney College Program assignment on January 18th.

Yeah, I'd hope so with the living arrangements there. Is it still like 8 to a room there?

And to OP, bless your heart. You're in for low as crap pay, high rent, and the concept of non-stop and hard work.

Please, I'm like Army football when it comes to love. I will fumble at the goal line.

I don't know why people sign up for this. It sounds terrible.

What is it? Are you basically a poorly paid cast member in return for college credit?

Congrats!! Some of my best friends today are still the ones I met back in the MKCP (it was originally called the Magic Kingdom College Program) days.

Just being selected over thousands of other applicants from across the country will look good on your resume...as most corporations hold Disney training/experience from the college program in high regard. (Just another thing that will help differentiate you from other future jb seekers).

You will have a blast so enjoy your time in Orlando/Disney.

Sunny warm weather today...but major storms coming in on Sunday with cold front...but it should be sunny/cool for most of next week...so juts be prepared for overnight temps in the 40's but sun during the day should be nice.

I'm as efficient with girls as UCF's offense was as scoring touchdowns this season. That being said, there are some lookers here.

Welcome to Orlando and a week of our winter (Mostly sunny, High low 60's, Low 40's).

Give it a few weeks and it will be pool weather soon!

I'm a bit older but if you want me to show you how it's done, let me know. You supply the girls and I'll supply the game. 04-high5

Turned out we missed most of the rain, had good weather yesterday. Today was a little chilly in the shade but great in the sun.

Congrats and have fun. I'm so old I did the Disney College Program in Spring '98. Probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. Had a blast, met folks I still keep up with, and learned pretty fast I needed to get my butt back to school once it was over. Hard living on $5/hr but sitting by the pool in Feb in Orlando when your other friends are back home in the cold in Memphis watching the Tic Price coached basketball Tigers wasn't so bad. Our apartment overlooked the pool so that worked out. All the international college kids working at Epcot lived in same complex with us as well. Fun to meet everybody.

They really do a great job teaching you customer service skills that can help you in your future career. I've got no doubt having this on my resume helped me land my first "real" job after graduation.

Public service announcement, if you get caught drinking underage at your apartment, they will terminate you immediately and you'll have about a day to pack and you'll lose any credits you might be getting. Saw a lot of folks leave early. DM me with any questions.

Yeah, I go back to the MKCP days (even to Snow White Village/Campground days...talk about off the chart parties!)...and especially those that get to come down for Spring Semester...where is generally freezing all over the country...Spring Time in Orlando is probably the greatest time to be here (before the sweltering summer months)...as like most of us, our time in college is some of the best years of our life and for many like you mentioned, the chance to spend a semester in orlando at Disney will provide lasting memories and as you noted, being selected for Disney's program will look good on your resume.

Whats interesting is that many of the MKCP/DCP alumni end up back in Orlando in a variety of fields after they earn college degrees.
