It's absolutely ridiculous. Nobody will be there. I don't have a great understanding of these things but I'm guessing it just comes down to the weak TV contract the MAC has. The current deal must give CBSSN the right to flex a certain number of games per year to TV. I'm not sure how moving the date/time is part of the deal though...that's insane. I have to imagine Frazier and the rest of the staff are extremely disgruntled this morning. There's no way they approved the move.

I think the TV coverage benefits outweigh the minor inconvenience and whining of the complaining minority. So you would suggest NIU tell ESPN "never mind, don't televise our game nationally--we have a few folks that might not show up now?"

It's CBSSN, not ESPN. If we were on ESPN (not ESPNU, ESPNN, ESPN3) it might be worth it. But playing at 5:30pm on CBSSN is a joke. Attendance on 1/23 would've likely been 3,000+...now they will struggle to break 1,000 as usual. Not to mention this is an absolute load of **** dealt to season ticket holders and others that were excited about an NIU event which has been scheduled for months.

You are wrong. There are people who bought tickets for the game who will now not go. How is this building a fan base? You don't change this the last freakin' minute.

I bought 8 tickets to the game...now I emailed my contact at NIU to ask about a refund. There is 0 chance I can make it out to a Friday game for a 5:30 tip and I'm not whining, I made it out in the snow the other day.

How long is a game on TV? 2hr 2.5hr?

At the EMU game, I was very impressed with all the families there. It was a great atmosphere. Moving the Toledo game will totally blow that and any positive momentum created by the family atomosphere at the EMU game. Doesn't NIU have any say in this?

Wow!!!!!!! Well there goes my group that was coming. I'm out for this game Was really looking forward to this. We sure don't know how to get out of our own way sometimes. This really pisses me off

I can't believe NIU is happy about this. They have made such a big deal of Spring Homecoming. I sure hope they find a way to stop this.
