I once heard TT speak, and he told us that early on in his career, he walked away from an 80K pay figure as a high school coach to make no salary while working under Jimmy Johnson.

Not that it matters, but it seemed like a cool story.

I think the shame in it all is that CTT seems like a pretty decent guy that I could have a beer with. However he is simply not cutting as the FBHC for our Bearcats.

I've spoken to him one one one several times. I tend to like the guy one on one but I get the feeling I should probably not believe half of what he says.

His son plays for Auburn.

We could only wish. Btw, did you hear the one about the safety who stole the game ball from the ball boy?

Haha, I feel the same way. Every year at the signing day event he always makes his way around the room and talks with our group. He always has a couple great stories that you just know are about 40% true. Very engaging guy and a great story teller. Great guy to have in front of donors - would make a fine AD somewhere.

His road and bowl game record is 10-11 and that is the primary issue most us have with the overall performance. Butch Jones lost three home games his first year and five overall. Kelly lost two in his first year and three overall. Mark Dantonio lost a total of four home games. If you like to see winning football going to Bearcat games is the place be. 15 total losses at home in 12 years!

Bandwagon fans only show up when the team is winning. I am not sure what you call fans that don't want to show up to home even if the teams wins just about everyone of them each season. Even with BYU, Houston, Memphis, ECU and USF on the home schedule next season I expect the Cats to go 6-1 or 5-2 at home. That is pretty much what they have done for the last 12 seasons. Heck even Minter's 2000 team was undefeated at Nippert.

Sorry, the only sure win I see at home next year is Tennessee-Martin. I am not saying that we won't win more, but these other schools have either beaten us this past year or knocked on the door. Moreover, with returning talent some of those players will be better in 2016 than they were in 2015. We will be facing coaching changes/new scheme, possibly a new QB, loss of all of the valuable receivers and the two starting offensive tackles. Let's examine some of the teams coming to Nippert next year a little closer:

Tenn-Martin: As I said, sure win.
Miami U: Have been knocking on the door the past three years. Return nearly everyone on their roster next year. Like XU, the game is their Super Bowl. We should beat them but really, it is premature to assume this will be a win.
BYU: Beat us this year with a guy who was their #2 option at QB. We made him look like the next coming of Steve Young. The #1 guy will be back as will a bunch of their other guys. 50/50 at best and that is giving us the benefit of the doubt.
Houston: They have a better coach and return a bunch of guys next year. Moreover, all the 5 and 4 star talent they have been recruiting the past two years will be ready to contribute. Could be ugly.
Memphis: They lose their coach and stud QB so we have a good shot. That being said they have beaten us twice in a row.
ECU: We needed Andrew Gantz heroics two years in a row to pull this one out. Like BYU, the guy who was their #1 QB did not play this year and they will get him back. This game will not be a easy.
USF: They beat us like an FCS team this year. They are still really young and will only be better next year. No way we can chalk this up as a W.

I see 4-3 at home and 2-3 on the road next year. I think the following year in Oxford (if Tubs is still here) is the year they finally end the drought.

Glad that guy was kicked off the team. There is no place in college football for this kind of behavior. Wrestling the opponent's ball boy on the ground for a game ball, c'mon man!

Quote:Ball is apparently known for doing this (?) after games where he snags interceptions. He had two against Auburn. Per ESPN:

According to The Ledger-Enquirer (Columbus, Georgia), the Auburn equipment staff was warned that if Ball were to get an interception, he has a history of attempting to steal a ball from the opponent after the game.

It’s unclear exactly why he pulled this stunt, perhaps because he’s a senior and wanted to go out with a bang … or something. But he was cut from the team later in the day.

I did. I wish Ball didn't do that. He has had a great career at Memphis and that shouldn't be the thing that people remember him by. He had a great game today, two picks with one returned for a td

RE: What to make of Bohn's silence
the UC FB "Airplane" is in the early stages of a spiral. Unless there are immediate changes made, soon it will be in a death spiral, and you will see a 3-9 team next year, and the plane will not recover until it does a UCF (0-12). TT is a master of BS, and for Whitlock to give him a five year contract, is beyond me.

85 million dollar Nippert renovation, and probably an average of 15K fan next year.

bring in a new, full of energy HC, or prepare for the worst. It can and will happen.

As a 25 year season ticket holder I have never been so disappointed in UC Football. It is clear to me that the program in headed in the wrong direction and that Coach Tuberville is not capable of righting the ship. The following are some of my observations/concerns:

Three bowl losses with the latest being 42-7

Quitting on the game at BYU

Embarrassing loss 65-27 to USF

Being lucky to beat a horrible Miami, OH the last 3 years

2016 recruiting falling to No. 9 in a bad AAC Conference

2016 recruiting ranked in the eighties in the FBS a marked decline from any year in the past 10 years.

Failing to have any signature win, unless you consider beating a Miami FL program that was in total chaos with a head coach about to be fired, a signature win.

Continued loss of assistant coaches

Not being relevant in a conference that has won 1 bowl out of 7 and will likely be 1-7.

Having a GA coach special teams that were a disaster

Making the same mistakes over and over and bad time management such as the delay of game penalty at the end of the first half of the Hawaii Bowl with time outs to use.

Obviously I am not a bandwagon fan. I am a BBA , Masters graduate and have been going to UC games for many years. I have been to every bowl since Birmingham until this year. I am sorry I agreed to 3 years of Club Seats based on what I saw this year and expect to endure for years to come if Tuberville is retained. If I could get out of the 3 year commitment I would and after 2 more years I will if Tuberville is retained.

I hate the idea of quitting on UC Football but retaining Tuberville says UC doesn't really care. If the administration does not do what is needed to win why should I waste my money and time. I am not a lone wolf in wanting a change and expect attendance to decline dramatically unless a change is forthcoming.

I fully expect to get a canned BS response.

excellent letter, and yes, you will get a BS response, where he will tell you "how committed" he and the administration are to UC Football/sports.

let us know what you get back from him.
