When I attended NIU, I was one of Sambo's best customers. Loved the walks over to Sambo's in the middle of the night to get a sandwich and coffee - a 10 cent cup of coffee! Those were the days, my friends! Thought they'd never end. But, alas, no more Sambo's.

Same company runs Hardees but since there are no Carl Jrs anywhere near Chicago and there are Hardees, I would go with it being a Hardees.

Could be but the thing is there are none anywhere near Chicago. I seriously doubt that a DeKalb location would be their first store in the area being that it is such a well known chain. I would think that they would move to Naperville/ Aurora, Schaumburg etc before DeKalb. I still say Hardees.
