Rice vs UT Arlington Game Thread
Light crowd thus far even in Club 103. Another "ShuSpectacular" with a school pep squad. Students trickling in and the BOB is here.
There are the pep parents filling up half of Upper West.

RE: Rice vs UTSA Gamethread
Looks like we're playing a pretty good team. Here's to another evening of improvement.

UTA has wins at Memphis and Ohio State, and an overall record of 4-1. They're not too bad.

We're going to have to single Charles out. He's already killing us.

UTA guards are cat quick. We have to stop making lazy passes.

I gotta say, I really like Letcher-Ellis. I think he might eventually emerge as the best player from this class. And that would really be something.

RE: Rice vs UTA Gamethread
We have had some open looks that haven't gone down but no panic by the team. I think this a game that Quez can really make a difference inside.

I was confused by the UTSA thread title. I don't know when conference play starts.

Charles back in. They didn't score while he was out. If we can defend him, we should be in good shape.

Tough to keep up when they're shooting 66% from 3.

3 point D hasn't exactly been our strength

UTA was shooting 24% from 3 coming in. Hopefully they will resort to form soon.

This kind of goes back to something I was told a few years go by a former player. He told me that Tudor is a shooters' gym, and that everyone in the business knows it.
Rhoades needs to recruit perimeter guys that can both drain it from distance and guard the line. I think he is doing this, but it might take a bit for that part of the plan to fully come together.
