Now, now, it was actually a quarter and a half.
Body of work mi amigo... GS has managed to string together a 14-1 league record in two years, comfortably the best in the conference over that period. CCU has yet to play a game. They are going to have to earn it the same way App and GS has. It is yet to be determined if they are up for it.
I don't recall your offense doing anything after the first drive.
The CCU add wasn't about football.
But Troy went through you like #@%& through a tin horn.
Football is a strange game.
However I concur, adding Coastal was much more than about football.

Strange indeed that Troy would gash App like that while GS got throttled.
No doubt strange things happen in Boone to GS, some good (2001 & 2007 come to mind) but mostly bad and that lpace has been a house of horrors for GS for a long time. I'm almost of the mind to totally discount it when GS stinks (pun intended) Boone up as some really good GS offenses have laid eggs there.
Heck, the 1999 team averaged 50 ppg and only got 16 there and 2 of those were on a blocked punt safety, and that was one of the greatest offenses I've ever seen regardless of the level of play.

Not all invites are about Football even though Football is king. CCU baseball program is excellent and it's a University that's growing and has upside in a locality that is desired.
Was the invite earlier than it should have been? Yes
Unfortunately there weren't better options out there and I believe what was best for SBC is to have 12 members. SBC locality is spread out for a small conference. With 6 members in a East / West division, it essentially becomes one small conference (at times) that builds rivalries. It's great because schools get to know their opponents better and that = higher attendance, increase support from alum and local fans.

Yup. I blame the crown. App's field has the biggest crown I've ever seen on a field. You look from one sideline to the other and you can only see players from about the waist up. It's like they're standing in a ditch.

The majority of the crown was removed after the 2003 season I believe, but it was huge before that. I would think that would impact throwing teams versus rushing team however.
App has historically experienced a "let down" game periodically after the GS game.

The field was flattened during the last turf installment, so you're 0-2, with two convincing losses on said flat field.
And, about the ditch. We just wanted you all to feel at home.
