Still cut from the Spoon mold. Not really a big man, OK on the perimeter.

Kids playing really well. This is pretty ridiculous.

His numbers reveal that he's the same player he was here. He's just playing more. With Iverson we would have had too many mouths to feed. If I remember correctly JP made that decision before Nichols left.

Signed,

Kentucky, Duke, UNC, etc.

We aren't Duke, nor do we recruit the same type players. KI is doing well at Rhode Island.

Yeah Duke and UK recruit better players and they all seem to get fed...

If you look at Iversons #s this year an argument can be made that his numbers are better than Austins last year.

2nd or 3rd? Iverson got a double double against Holy Cross. Holy Cross is one of the worst Div I teams out there.

Against La Tech, Shaq had an 18-12, Burrell had a 10-11, and Crawford had a 13-9. La Tech is a good team, likely top 100.

Against Oklahoma, Lawson had a 22-15 and against Ohio St he had a 16-10.

Thats 3 guys on the Memphis team who have had double doubles against far better opponents than the one Iverson played against last night.

You think Iverson is better than Lawson, Shaq, or Burrell? Crawford is putting up similar or better numbers in a fraction of the playing time.

No, his numbers reveal that he is actually playing more efficiently than he was here.

Yeah, I guess we're better off without Nichols and Iverson and King. All those damn mouths to feed.

Yes, I would say Iverson is definitely better than Crawford, better than Burrell most nights, and would flip flop with Shaq depending on which Shaq decided to show up. Lawson is by far the most talented player on our team.

The JP followers motto... Addition by subtraction. I have heard that a lot of the last 6 years or so.

I want JP gone most of the time, so you're wrong about that. I just don't think most of the transfer players you guys clamor about were that great. Either way, the coach is at fault.

LOL...are you serious.

Rhode Island and Memphis have played very similar schedules and Iverson is averaging 12 and 6 shooting 52% from the field and 43% from the 3 on a team that plays a much slower pace than the tigers.

There can be arguments easily made that Iverson is performing better than Tarrant and Burell based on the stats I posted alone.

Not sure I agree with that, but even so...at the time he was at Memphis, he was a bad fit and had to go.

Seems folks say that about EVERY transfer out of the program.

Danny Hurley seems to have no problems maximizing player ability.

As evidenced by his career 86-73 record? He has zero NCAA appearances and one NIT in 5 years as a HC. One winning season in 3 years at URI...Okay...

He took over a bad RI program - not quite like taking over the Memphis program coming off a 30+ win season and returning multiple players from an NCAA S16 team.

He's gone from 8 wins in year one to 23 in year three.

How many top 20 recruiting classes/McDonald's AAs do you think he's had at RI?

Like I said, he's better at maximizing what he has.

As evidenced by the fact that Kuran Iverson is averaging 12 and 6 shooting 52% from the field and 43% from the 3 - what were his numbers under Pastner again?

Give Hurley the same talent Pastner had and dude is ruling the A10.

The bottom line is Shaq is allowed to go 1-9 from the field. Dedric and KJ are allowed to Jack 3s and turn it over. Iverson wasn't. Remember Iverson was ranked just as high coming out of high school.
