RE: MBB: AAC vs. OOC
Well Temple has pretty much choked away any chance we've had at getting a signature OOC win on the resume (aside from Minnesota who is pretty bad). Pretty much have to hope we can get this team rounded into shape before the conference tourney so we can get the auto bid.

RE: AAC is 65-35 so far
people who thought this conference was going to be a top 5 basketball conference most years should be seeing the error in their judgment about right now.

Add Wichita State, Vcu, and St. Louis and we would be in the top 5 most years.

Oh I think it can be just takes time. Look what SMU has done. Houston appears to be on the rise. Add those to traditional solid programs in UConn, Cinn, Memphis and Temple and you have a good top. Tulsa is no slouch either although some questionable games this season. The league needs someone from the Tulane, ECU, UCF, USF group to step up as well. I mean most sites have the PAC12 and SEC rated higher and I would say that is very debatable. I think the top 4 is pretty clear but after that it is close. How about we see the Bearcats do the league a favor and win some big games for a change in football or basketball besides folding like a lawn chair when the going gets tough. It is like rinse and repeat.

It's way too early to be speculating about "most years" when the underperforming teams are getting closer to firing the holdover coaches from their former conferences (new ADs at Tulane and UCF... and the AD at ECU has a hair trigger these days).
Sampson is looking like a good new hire and so is Haith. Antigua is looking like a reach.
For now, we've just got to keep turning over the soil, and cultivating the culture of the conference.
SMU hasn't missed a beat. Shake Milton is a new star of the conference. If they were eligible for post season play, I'd feel as good about our chances for multiple 2nd week programs (which is the bar we need to clear). UCONN, SMU, UC, Memphis, Temple, and Tulsa, (and maybe Houston), are a good 6/7 deep core. Basketball will mature like football did.

Army's basketball is 8-2! We haven't really beaten anybody, but heck yeah!
We are a basketball school now! Howitzers and hoops!

I scanned through. All I can see are South Florida losses.

We are horrific but we still have won more games than UCF football and loss less games than UCF football

Ohio State beat #4 Kentucky. Both Memphis and UCONN have wins over Ohio State.

Really a shame SMU can't make the tournament this year. The Mustangs are very, very, good.
