Knoxville Sports Show this morning
They are absolutely tearing Butch Jones and Cincinnati to pieces. Pretty much said that he wasn't ready for the spotlight because of the program that he came from. They said that at Cincinnati people didn't know that the program existed and no one cared if they won or lost all of their games. Just thought y'all would like to know how bad they are hurting down here right now. I find the meltdown hilarious since they thought they would be undefeated.
In case anyone wants to troll or lap up some tears, volnation.com is their main board.

I was personally suprised Tennessee still existed once Peyton Manning left.

After Peyton left, then they won the national title.
No need to flame Vol nation. A few t-shirt fans ignorant of Cincinnati's history (a BCS team, former coaches Dantonio and Kelly didn't have any problems) does not erase the fact that they have some of the nicest fans (Maybe only outdone by Sooner nation) that I have had a pleasure of interacting with.

Dangit....I wasnt a college football fan then. Or, old enough to know what college football was. My recollection, at 20 years old, is Peyton - then Derek Dooley - then Butch

They win the year after Peyton with a dual-threat QB named Tee Martin. The coach back then was Phil Fulmer ( you may have heard of the Fulmer Cup)

Take my ignorance as an example: it's much easier to say something stupid based on limited knowledge than it is to spend 5 minutes on Google to look up factual information. Hence, you have some guys down in Knoxville making these stupid comments about UC.

So the 3rd World down south has a low opinion of UC football. Who cares?

Sounds like things are getting interesting on Rocky Top. There are rumors circulating on the internet that Lyle punched a player (Mack Crowder) last week in practice.

yeah, he's getting ripped left and right down there in the forums and this "rumor" seems to have a lot of traction among some apparently well respected posters. This thread is mostly about the alleged punch and already has over 700 posts.

Jesus, this board spends a ton of time worrying about whomever was the last coach. Same schtick with Kelly and Dantonio until the next guy left.
Jillited lover syndrome, I suppose. Who freaking cares what UT does and how does that impact UC?
Couldn't tell you what UTs record is or who they play. I know they recruit their butts off, other than that, I got bubkus.
Not my circus, not my clowns.

No Jilted lover syndrome here, but the Vols faithful has been melting down all over /CFB on reddit and it is very entertaining to watch. Especially after so many of them bought into the Jones Kool-Aid.

Not to sound like a total prick, but that is what fan bases do. How many times did people spout "hold the rope" or "next man in."
After a head scratching Duley hire, Butch didn't seem like a bad pick. Butch isn't a bad coach, just a grinder. Good recruiter and motivator but not someone who is winning the SEC. I thought he would do a little better than he did, but I am not shocked at the results. He should still land on his feet at a lower P-5 school when he gets canned.

F*** UT and the rest of the redknecks in SEC land. I hope all of their overrated teams eat eachother again and get left out of the final 4. UT has been irrelevant for a while now, and I am glad they took coat tails Butch off of our hands. It's only a matter of time before they get passed by the pathetic uk program.

Eh, the thread was started by a Memphis troll to rile us up about the Knoxville talking heads are talking about UC.
I'm not losing any sleep over any of it.
