That's more the question I have at this point.
But how did they clock him? People get pulled over and the record reads more than reality
sometimes--just sayin. Police might add 20 mph to it for personal reasons. (Speaking from my experience in Memphis.)

Memory might be failing me but about 10 years ago when I got clocked going 30 over in Germantown I believe my fine was $300. That and 30 hours community service since it was my first ticket.

Warrant appears to be from a case accusing theft in Texas back in 2013. The following is from the Harris County District Clerk's Office:

I am probably the only person who got stopped for going too slow there, simply because I was obeying the posted speed limit. Stopped but not ticketed. I made sure the Chief of Police and Mayor heard all about it. I never go to G-town for anything other than work.

he was only taken downtown due to the misunderstanding about the TX warrant, If not he would be going to a Wednesday night session of Germantown Court, pleading no contest doing a little community service, and working out a payment plan on his enormous fine.

This is going to blow over quickly (unless there is a lot more to this then is known right now)

I was a goody-two-shoes teenager, really, but I can recall back in the dark ages doing 60 down Central in my Chevy 350 just to get home in time for dinner. I am blessed that I did not kill myself or anyone else. I got a speeding ticket a few years later, and learned to slow down and today I am known for my slow driving.

This could be a good thing that has happened to him, and he will slow down in the future, I bet.

We used to joke in High School (when I lived in Germantown) that if you farted too loud an Germantown police officer would give you a ticket for disturbing the peace. ;-)
