RE: AAC vs Mt. West
We need an annual AAC vs MW game scheduled for the weekend before CCG weekend.....6 games at AAC, 6 at MW.

On odd years, 6 MW odd ranked teams play at AAC's odd ranked (1 v 1, 3 v 3, 5 v 5).... and then switch on even years.

Nm. That wouldn't work. Airforce only has two controllable OOC games as it is, and too many would get stuck with too many away games in a season.

I wouldn't mind another bowl matchup; I think the only MWC AAC game is the Hawaii Bowl.

National perception favors the AAC. All mass media considers the AAC a power/major conference in bball. Tournament organizers also categorize them with the P5 + BigEast. The Great Alaska Shootout is paying a search firm more to book teams from the P5, BigEast and AAC than other conferences.

Quote:That means if BTI finds two teams from the Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12, ACC, SEC, Big East or American Athletic Conference, UAA will pay the firm $35,000.

Hold the AAC and MWC CCGs over Thanksgiving and then have the AAC-MWC showdown the first weekend of December.

Hold the Air Force-Navy game the same weekend and then match-up the teams as closely as possible to the 1 v.1, 2 v. 2, 3 v. 3 setup. Except when either Air Force or Navy is conference champ, the 1 v. 1 matchup would actually be between the AAC and MWC champions - a virtual play-in to the NY6 bowl.

Or, have the AAC-MWC showdown the first week of the season - matchups based on the previous year's conference standings.
