You told someone on the internet to "screw off" when I was simply making a point that all the bickering on this thread was absurd. We have people clearly getting offended about comments pertaining to their lively hoods. You really think im overreacting by observing such behavior? This is a site for fellow Bearcat fans to connect with one another when those in their immediate vicinity do not share the same level of enthusiasm. But now users are getting genuinely offended by posts that could have taken to a more sensitive tone. You can assert your skepticism about an impoverished area in a much more delicate manner. There's a large community of Bearcat fans that live in those areas and have been there for the entirety of their lives. It is truly rediculous if we have to start a dispute over such delicacies on the internet. Furthermore, instead of refuting that point, you reinforced it by uttering a pointless command when I did nothing more than point out my dissapointment in the posts on this thread. No argument has ever been settled by the closing statement of "screw off". I'm not trying to be the omnipotent member that claims to be knowledgeable about the proper etiquette associated with online message boards. But when this crap keeps popping up, something needs to be said. And at least I tried to keep it civil and respectful.

700 wlw was reporting last week that Mike Bohn will be coming on the Cunningham show this Friday to announce major news. Can only think it has to do with the basketball arena. Anyone else hear this?

Fwiw the BOT is scheduled to meet on Tuesday to go over next year's budget. Before we can move on the arena the plan needs to be approved by the board. Would make sense if an announcement is scheduled for Friday.

I can think of better news, but this would be good too.

I am offended and outraged that the last three posts have sidetracked the hijacked topic of this thread.

Oddly I drove past the gardens on Friday for the first time in many years and it looked pretty terrible, on the plus side though it is very near Quatman Cafe, great burger there.

The only puzzle to that is "Why wait for Friday?"

If the BoT meets and approves plans on Tuesday, why not be out on Tuesday evening and Wednesday, making the rounds of all the sports shows, trumpeting the approval of the plan?

Waiting more than 72 hours for this would seem to be a little....long.

But I have nothing else, so let's run with that.

Could it be the final UA details or is that all announced? The reason I ask is I've only ever seen that the contract with UA 'could' be worth as much as $5mil/year.

I doubt Willie is getting any exclusive. If there is any story we will hear it first on go bearcats.com or on Twitter.

Personally I think we should be prepared to be underwhelmed Friday. By going on Willie's show the AD is speaking to the masses not us die-hards. My bet is he will talk about something we have known about for awhile such as the Under Armour deal and the football stadium.

I'm going to go ahead and say there will be NO announcement Friday.

I like that Bohn is getting out there. One can hope that when there are significant announcements that the AD will "make the rounds" as widely as possible to talk about it.
