I repeat, it's Falujah around that joint.

Let me be the first to apologize for the area not being worthy of your presence, I have not lived in the area in quite a while. It is refreshing to myself and all the friends I have met from that area, to know we came from the most effed up area. While we all went to college, and all your favorite highshcools and all are doing well. Nice to know what we made it through.

lol look, the area sucks. It's not your fault nor is it a reflection on you personally. Lighten up. Let's call a spade a spade. the area sucks. move on

Every ticket purchased should come with a mini can of Lysol and room deodorant.

It is his opinion.....so what if he only has 2 posts? I don't have many posts either....I read this site for info and opinions...I don't post much' because of reasons like this. It seems like if you don't post on here everyday, your not part of the "club".

I agree. There's nothing egregiously wrong with Ran's post and a mini lecture is hardly the way to get somebody to get more involved. And given who he was responding to the taunting certainly smells personal in nature rather than professional.

As far as the topic hand, I've never been to Falujah. I've been to the Gardens many many times and found it a fine place to watch a game, although none of them recent so I'll withhold comment on whether that's a fair comparison. However, I'm sure Bohn is taking all this into account. His solution won't be ideal - it'll either be some other school's court or at an arena that (justifiably) isn't going to pay to make itself just like home sweet home for one season of basketball. So the complainers are going to complain. We're just going to have to deal with it for a season. Hopefully those that can give their support will do so.

I only have 2 post because i choose not to post, but what you do not know is that i made this account becuse i could not remember the password for my original. I have been a member a long time and had quite a few post. Never expected to have a quota. My point was that the blatant disrespect of an area and people is not necessary to make your point.

My wife & I used to attend the Arena League games when the Commandos played there. I am utterly amazed that the Gardens hasn't been condemned. It might be the worst maintained arena on the planet. Probably safer to play in downtown Baghdad -- at least the building won't fall down on top of you -- assuming there isn't a missile strike.

This is fantastic entertainment. I'm on the fence right now between being offended and peeing my pants laughing. On one hand I live in a City neighborhood doss would surely scoff at, but I love it and wouldn't move for the world. But OTOH the sh!thole comment was comedy gold.

Someone else has to see flea's irony being from Norwood, which is what, 100 maybe 150 yards from the Gardens?

Same planet, different worlds. The "Gardens" could not have been given a more ironic name.

LOL, I really need to update that since I haven't lived there in more than a year. I always told people when they asked where I lived that I was from "The nice part of Norwood". I lived in an efficiency apartment in the basement of a really nice house on the corner of Floral and Hudson, which actually is a pretty decent area. It was the perfect place for a divorced guy in his 30s who was a fulltime student at the time. I just had to drive through some sketchy stuff to get home everyday. Most of the people who own homes in the area I was in are young professionals who haven't quite made enough money to move to Hyde Park.

Classic between seasons MO on this board. Nothing to cheer/rant about so it turns into a food fight.

This is ridiculous. We're talking about the temporary location of a basketball arena but it sounds like a bunch of high school girls ganging up on one another. This isn't what Banter should be about.

Folks must we bite and devour one another!? I mean the shame of it all is we are getting away from the central point in all this:

The Gardens and surrounding area are &@%holes.
