Fixed it. You don't post from a phone, do you?
Not much at all. The screen sizing drives me batty.

How long into that process do you think we would be before Redtom was howling like a chimpanzee? I get the feeling it wouldn't be long.
I hate to break this to you...but this is just standard behavior for politicians and certainly for the IRS. The quicker you realize that these things don't fall along party lines, the quicker your frothing will cease.

Correct...not a smidgen. Been what, over two years now...and still nothing? Not even a smidgen?
Two years of cover up and stonewalling. Took time to expose the coverup in Watergate also. A lapdog Obamabot will defend this illegal activity at all costs. Damn the Constitution.
What illegal activity?
Not printing out emails and filing them as required by law. Lying to congress. Giving out tax info to attack groups. Using a government agency to target an opposing political party. And so on.

You know Lois Lerner will strike a deal and testify, right? You know this will go right to the Obama Administration, right? The only hope you got is that one of Obama's stooges falls on the sword for him.
It's a shame you don't work for Obama, you are the kind of "true believer" Obama is going to need to dodge this bullet.
This is the beginning of the end for your dear leader and the American socialist experiment of the last 6 years. This country is beginning to recover from it's fever. Obamacare will be rolled back. Holder is running away fro this stinking dog pile of an administration just in time. Republicans control congress.
It's over. over but the crying...
American socialism (i.e. progressive movement) is dead.
You see Bull...I just wait for evidence. I try not to jump to conclusions. You'd be wise to do the same.
If it turns out Obama was involved then I'll be right in line demanding impeachment.
But don't get your hopes up...he wasn't. There was nothing to gain from this. Period.
I don't think this will reach the oval office...my guess is that it will get linked to the Obama administration...but no time soon at all...unfortunately.

Oh, bullfeathers.
The "everybody does it" excuse is never a good one and I wouldn't accept that from my own children since they were 2. You can't point to this kind and level of targeting and criminal activity within the IRS going all the way back to at least Nixon.
And even then, the charges that were to be brought, but never were shown or proven, this has been BTW, stated that "He did endeavor, through his agent or agents to target political opponents" or some such language. That coupled with the insistence of his own party colleagues and other charges forced Nixon out.
If there is there, there, and more than Lerner and now Koskinen guilty of criminal wrong-doing, who knows where this may end up. As mentioned below Watergate took years to unravel, this has been a slow rollout as well, but appears to be picking up steam again.
Who's gonna perp walk to shield the Admin?

I wasn't making an excuse...I was stating a fact.
Welp. Now, see? Now you done gone and did it.
So now I gotta call it out.
Can you back up that claim that this is SOP for politicians AND the IRS "Standard behavior"!?!. And that this doesn't fall along party lines? Isn't/wasn't political?
I'll hang up and take your answer off the air.

RE: Criminal investigation into how Lois Lerner's emails disappeared
I've dealt with the IRS for many years. They're big, powerful and stupid. They continually send notices demanding fees and are frequently wrong. They have the power to pretty much investigate anyone and demand a payment and it's your duty to prove them wrong.
And in this case, the IRS (with good reason IMHO) believed that there was rampant misconduct with these so called social welfare organizations so they went after them...but as usual, their incompetence led to this fiasco.
And do I really need to explain that politicians of every party practice CYA? Really?

I think that this statement may be what bothers me more about my country than most anything else. The fact that we have gotten to the point where it's deemed "ok" for our public servants to lie and cheat to their benefit whenever they want because "both sides do it".
The fact it's always "their guy" being absolved when the "both sides do it" makes it all the more galling. I'll tell you right now, if my guy obstructs justice and breaks laws, I hope he goes to prison for it.
If our elected leaders and public servants don't have to follow the law, we're no better than some corrupt, 3rd rate banana republic.
RE: Criminal investigation into how Lois Lerner's emails disappeared
I'm sure the Republicrats will cut funding to something if wrong doing is found. I have zero faith in the Republicrat leadership, they've lost all credibility in recent weeks.

You do know that the ***** Lerner admitted that the IRS targeted conservative groups

Wellllll, if that's how you're going to spin it...
I pretty clearly took what you said as "they all do it" to mean the targeting itself. Not some CYA afterward.
So no, I don't believe all politicians (Presidents or Admins) endeavor to target their political adversaries to further their own interests, campaigns or whatever. Hence the Nixon reference, I'd think that was pretty clear.

Emails are never lost. These idiots thought they could intentionally destroy some and claim they were lost. Now these numbskull's are finding out erasing a hard drive does nothing more than erase THAT hard drive. Incinerate it, toss it into the trash or launch it into space. Not going to help you.

More Lois Lerner Emails Revealed: “No One Will Believe Your Hard Drive And Mine Crashed Within A Week”
The above email was one of the new ones found.
The audacity of the IRS cover-up just takes your breath away in this video where Jason Chaffetz asks Inspector Timothy Camus about his search for the tapes.
Quote: Chaffetz was stunned when he asked Camus if anyone from the IRS had ever asked for the backup tapes and he replied, “No.”
“We send a subpoena, we send letters, we have hearings, we hear all kinds of excuses from the IRS,” Chaffetz said. “Every excuse you can have under the sun — you find them in two weeks, and then when you go talk to the IT people who are there in charge of them, they told you that they were never even asked for them. Is that correct?”
“That is correct,” Camus replied.
But wait... There's more! 424 new IRS tapes found by the IG
