RE: Kent State at Ohio University
On a serious note, some of you remember John Rhodes, an Ohio forward in the 80s and assistant coach under Tim O'Shea. He had a really bad week. Not only did he start chemo for throat cancer, he was hit by a car and is in the hospital. He's in the thoughts of those of us in Bobcat Nation.

RE: Kent State at Ohio University
Just got home and was able to catch most of the second half on the radio. Our defense is playing lights out right now. If we are making shots and some FT, we are going to be hard to beat. This was a great win (from the standpoint that anyone can beat anyone on a given day) and now we need to go to Oxford and continue to hold serve.

Just like that 11 lead down to 2. With Bowling Green down double digits at home right now this is a key opportunity for Kent State to take over sole place in 1st come on guys get it done.

Miami just beat Akron in OT. Toledo, CMU and Kent are 10-4, BG 9-5 and Buffalo and Akron 8-6.

Akron loses to Miami at home in OT. Neither team broke the 50 point mark in regulation or the 60 point mark in OT.

Miami U just took Akron down...Maybe the Miami game might be a challenge - they've taken down Akron and BGSU before that
Akron is now falling behind in the race for a top-4 seed. Kent, Toledo, and Central Michigan are tied for 10-4 and we have tie breakers over the other two.

Wow who would have thought our worst conference loss would be to Akron.

I kind of meant in terms of quality of opponent. I said after we played them that they weren't that good. I thought they were going to fade and they have.
If we show up in any reasonable form on Feb. 10 we beat them easily.

A win against acorn is always our best win and a loss against acorn is ALWAYS our worst loss.
