obviously its fun (and somewhat foolish) to imagine all of these guys panning out.. but lets stay the stars are warranted.. in 1-2-3 years youre talking about playmakers/studs at every position.
Branch in the secondary, Brooks on the line, Holloway and Robinette at LB... not to mention the great underclassmen we already have who already have experience. our d looks goooooood
and tall wide receivers to add to our smaller, quicker ones. and sharp as a feature back. omg so much potential
So sorry, but a tangent about Snoop Doggy Dog and greenery cannot be ended by a poster named DukeDoggyDog talking about a Branch.

Im not sure if Branch is as athletic as Marlowe, time will tell. And I think our defense had good enough players last year , but the scheme was shaky.

When did you say EW's contract will be up for renewal?
i dont know if youre comment is in jest, but i actually dont know when his contract is up for renewal. however, based on first year performance, the palapable, tangible momentum of this entire football program, and the a school who give matt brady seven years... id say EW has at least a few years to try and build a program.. no?

He is there. They are keeping him on the low for some reason, but he is on the updated roster. I've said it before, he will be the one to watch. Running back skills, rival write up for WR skills, and dominated his district until his injury. He probably won't play running back if his measurements are true, 6ft4 220lbs. Ill try to get some of his rehab footage, but I'm hearing (max):bench-345, back squat- 415, front squat- 385, deadlift- 585, cones- 4.01, and 40-4.5.

His final season is set at 2018. He should be renegotiation prior to the 2017. When you say 1-2-3 years and these guys should become real playmakers/studs, the timing will be perfect for EW. It was sort of written in jest but with real possibilities.

national signing day 2015
Matt Jones tweeted a list of players not returning despite remaining eligibility. Aaron Peak was on that list. He played a lot at Safety last year as a freshman. Anyone heard any reasons he's not returning?

9 of 12 posts about Tyler and you know all of his maxes and your domain name is his HS number? I'm going to step out on the limb here and say you have never met the guy

This was brought up in the JMU 2015 Football Thread but as of yet there hasn't been a definitive answer.

Wouldn't mind having a RB of that size to hammer the ball a little. We ended up using Latney a lot last year as the season went on. I have to say I'm scratching my head a little when it comes to our RB recruiting. Abdullah is pretty well put together although I wouldn't call him a big back. Then you have (in no particular order at this point) John Miller, Taylor Woods, Trai Sharpe who all seem to have a similar build and are all young. Then you have a few guys who are listed as athlete who could wind up in the backfield. Then you have Alden Hill who is a bigger guy but seems to have a long fight out of the dog house. I realize you need 2-3 starting caliber backs and then maybe a guy who can play WR and RB for depth but I feel like we're using a lot of scholarship resources on one position.

Good grief. As a freshman? Yea, he isnt gonna be playing RBI wouldn't think, though it would be fun to watch. I cuold see him coming off the edge at D end.
DG-22, has (sure he has) played on D in HS at all? Can't imagine he didn't but curious.

Never played D. He was all Westfield had his senior year on offense. I know he had over 2700yd and 30 plus TDs his senior and junior year combined in I think it was the concord district. If his skills transfer to the collegiate level, he'll be a top player in three positions, TE, Slot, and WR. He would be a 1A guy if not for the injury. As you can tell, I'm big on dude. I think this makes 11 out of 14 post on Walker.
Also want to say thanks to the group, I had never heard of JMU until he committed. I enjoy all the threads and the insight. I will post my thoughts on more as I become more informed about the other discussions.

What about Cardon Johnson out of Warwick in Newport Blues? I don't know what his high school injury was, but I know he had an achilles. Word was that he was having a great camp before the injury. Anyone know how he is and what his ceiling is?
