At this point, there is no denying the truth in this.

How much you want to bet otherwise?

Congrats to Houston. I will now shift all my interests to women's basketball until I attend the AAC conference tourney in Hartford.

I was 3 rows back from that dude. He was heckling the refs the whole game. Seemed like a guy who once heard a fan yell at a ref and thought that's what you were supposed to do the whole game. Was cussing at the refs after every call/non call. Even when they were completely legitimate. After cussing out one of the refs who had his back to him he said "you look at me when I'm talking to you ref".

I was just laughing at him the whole game. He was out there. I don't think he said anything in particular just before getting tossed. Probably just sheer volume of f-bombs and arguing every call with cussing.

What a terrible day for the NCAA prospects of the conference.

AAC was such a great basketball league last year. This year is a stark difference. I think it's just a one year aberration. This league should be very good most years in basketball.

Hopefully Houston and ECU can use this as a springing block to improvement.

Ramen, read my previous post on the loss before you go spouting your typical nonsense, I gave all the credit to ECU.

I hope we do. What ECU needs is a stable lineup and we'll be greatly improved.

I think this year is pretty strange, but the conference will have some really interesting returning squads next year.

I would like to think so but I doubt it. Next game probably go back to sitting Tyson all game.

It was great seeing the Bearcats back in Minges. I never feel bad for a Pirate victory but it will suck if this game screws up Cincinnati's tourney bid.

I would love for ECU to get to a point where we are peers with teams like UC but I just don't see it happening. We just don't seem to have the motivation/ability to up our game. We'll take the bigger teams down in this conference every now and then but we won't do it consistently.

Are you an ECU fan pirate jim? Just curious why you made that 1 NCAA tourney bid for AAC comment...?

As long as UC doesnt fall apart they will be fine.

Beat XU and this loss doesnt matter.

UCONN is NIT bound regardless of whether or not they won today.

I don't know that UConn will be good enough to get an NIT invite. I do not mean that in any way disrespectful to UConn--they just do not have enough solid wins. And if they're going to lose to the lower half of the conference once more (just extrapolating out), it's not a very solid resume for the NIT.

This. Once UCONN lost to Cincinnati, the NCAA tourney at-large berth dreams died. UCONN was/is playing for its conference tourney seed.

And I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to see another post-season tourney run where UCONN plays for the auto-bid, especially on their home court.
