Just look at the Sagarin or Massey ratings.

Sagarin has the Big 12 #2. Massey has Big 12 #3.

The Big 12 did it to themselves. No expansion for a championship game, 2 true champions, 5 state regional footprint. Karl Benson could not do worse as a commissioner for the Big 12.

Sagarin and Massey are biased. Always has been. Who did the Big 12 beat to justify being the "2nd or 3rd best conference"?

It doesn't matter. What matters is not having a CCG. You should be punished in the committee for not having one.

Those two powerhouses were down, so TCU and Baylor stepped up to take their place.

Stop and ask yourself if their name was Texas and not Texas Christian, with the exact same resume, do you really think they would have dropped from 3rd to 6th?

This was a money grab. Excluding two private schools with smaller fan bases. Excluding the only two schools whose fan bases would spend the least amount of money on DFW hotels for the title game.

Las Vegas would make TCU a favorite over Florida St or Ohio St on a neutral field tomorrow.

TCU beat Minnesota by double digits.
Ohio State barely edged Minnesota.

Strength of Schedule, Baylor = #128 and they beat TCU. I guess, it's all those OSU lovers fault.

Personally I loath tOSU but, to day I love them.

Bring on expansion and may the expansion spirits favor South Florida for a change.

Get your brand names in there. Didn't see virtually any Big 12 games in prime time this year.

I think that's fair. TCU and Baylor won't take many fans anywhere.

But, for as valid of a point that may be in that respect it doesn't make up for TCU or Baylor not playing a CCG. That's what this is all about.

If it had been college football elephants Texas and Oklahoma instead of TCU and Baylor, I wonder if the results would have been different? The stature of these two may have been enough to offset the Ohio St name.

It might have mattered. Texas and Oklahoma generally play better non-conference schedules.
