Baylor - no wins over any team with a winning record OOC
TCU - beat an 8 win Minnesota at home
Oklahoma - beat a 6-6 Tennessee at home
Oklahoma State - no wins over any team with a winning record OOC
Iowa State - beat a 7-5 Iowa team OOC on the road. And beat an 8 win MAC team at home.
Kansas - beat a 7-5 MAC team at home.
Kansas State - beat a 7-5 CUSA team at home
Texas Tech - beat a 7-5 CUSA team at home
Texas - No wins over any team with a winning record OOC.
West Virginia - beat a 7-5 Maryland team at home.

Some teams in the Big XII did play strong teams OOC, but they just didn't win those games.

Marquee OOC win for the entire conference for the entire year...A 30-7 win by TCU at home versus Minnesota. I wouldn't be shocked if the MAC had a couple of years where they beat a 8-4 and 7-5 B1G team in the same season.

To add a little perspective to your post:
SEC West 38-4 out of division (Big 12 was 22-8)
Against P5 schools with more than 6 wins:
Alabama beat 7-5 West Virginia in Atlanta
Auburn beat 9-3 Kansas St. in Manhattan
LSU beat 10-3 Wisconsin in Houston
Arkansas lost at Missouri
Arkansas lost hosting Georgia
A&M lost hosting Missouri
Auburn lost at Georgia.

The real problem the Big XII has this year is the complete absence of any marquee wins OOC. That win by a 4-4 Auburn team at Kansas State was big, as was LSU's thrashing of Wisconsin.

The SEC schedules a bunch of crap too, but they at least had a few wins sprinkled in there.

This year, the Big XII simply didn't have any wins to hang their hat on as a conference.

Minnesota was pretty good as they played Wisconsin for a division title, but they're not a big name and weren't known to be good at the time.
Just pointing out that the best division in college football didn't have a whole lot of those wins either, really just 2, 3 if you count WVU.

Scheduling matters though. The best team ever (if judged by NFL draft results) went undefeated thru the SEC and then missed out to a Big XII team in the BCS national championship because of scheduling. That was the 2004 Auburn team. They didn't go to the championship because Oklahoma's schedule was 0.0001 better. Scheduling matters. It will matter even more as the conferences move forward.

And there's an element of 'unfair to it too'. Baylor and TCU, who are have nots as far as the P5 is concerned will probably need a marquee win OOC to really get there. At least TCU has scheduled for it going forward.

I'm sorry the B12 didn't live up to expectations this year. No significant ooc wins TCU beat 8-4 Minnesota from the B10, the conference that B12 proponents say is weaker than the B12. TCU and Baylor played some of the weakest sos in fbs. That leaves their conference schedules, which the only team of value that both teams beat was Kansas state. They also built themselves three bye weeks. Both Baylor and TCU scraped by against terrible teams. Don't play no one then cry when you're not in, the Marshall argument isn't going to fly in the P5.
