No, stAte is likely going to Mobile again for their yearly NIU matchup.

Probably. To be honest, I'm really surprised at this. An argument can be made though for us over you guys. But it was a probably "a tie goes to the local team".

No, Texas State is screwed, Unless you call facing a 11-2 NIU screwed...which might be a good example of it.

Not official on our end, but it appears to be the deal.

Go Daddy was under pressure from political people to take USA, but businesses wanted AState back. They worked out a deal with Montgomery to ensure the Jags got a bowl bid, and then will likely send us an invitation to follow.

Some poor puppy is doomed.

Oh well, I was wrong on South Al. But it is clear Go Daddy wasn't interested in keeping the home team in Mobile.

7-5 next year gets anyone in the Belt to a Bowl game.

Maybe. But with App and GS that would be 6 teams for 4 bowls next year. Once again we are no where near any bowl but NOLA, so we may have to win the conference to get a bowl.

78 versus 76 bowl slots. 4 for the Sun Belt. Its also unlikely that 5 Sun Belt teams will win 0 games against the top 6 teams.

So that's my educated guess here. My guess is that the Belt will get 5 slots next year (4 + 1 from someone who can't qualify).

I don't understand. GaSouthern's not in a bowl? I thought they skull-dragged the Sunbelt?
