In terms of #of games played we have the smallest sample size in the country so far
Which is what I said in the opening post. One of these days.....

We're all playing for second place.
They are incredible to watch.
Kentucky is so much easier to watch. It seems every game they play is on tv. For their fans, if they can't go to the game, they can still watch it on HD tv just about anywhere in the country. We can't even get a local tv broadcast of the game. Tiger fans dealt with the CSS for so long and now espn3 online. I had to work late when tigers played a&m, so i was forced to watch online. I put the online feed on my big screen tv. The feed wasn't nearly as good as HD tv, and it went out twice and had to be reloaded. After it went down the 3rd time, i quit watching. It's very frustrating, and i do believe it is a major problem for the u of m. Certainly this new AD knows it.
Also, i bet everyone in the country will know the entire kentucky roster before all the tiger fans can figure out our own roster. Put the f'ing names back on the jerseys already. [/rantover]
And yeah, kentucky has a shot at the undefeated season and also i know cal wants one of his team to hold the record for holding down opponent's shooting %. Right now, they are holding teams to 28% shooting overall so far. I can't remember what the record is. I know our 2008 team challenged for it.

So those Kentucky guards had poor perimeter defense and Anthony Davis had to save them?
Fair point, but when you have an person you know (like Davis or even DJ) you can "funnel" (not olé) players to that spot.
Also, if you watched Davis or DJ, you you know those were rarely contested blocks--meaning a players was coming at those guys and was blocked. DJ and Davis did most of their work off the weakside.
And if you watched Memphis, you would have seen the Tigers' guards getting blown by on several occasions by the WSU guards. I hope we aren't really gonna argue about that.
But like Canes noted, Memphis' sample size is extremely low.
So Memphis played crappy perimeter defense which lead to blocks on opponent guards. Kentucky played pristine perimeter defense which lead to their bigs getting blocks on other bigs.

Nope, sorry. We are 4th at 20.0 per game. The other three are Montana State, Louisiana Lafayette, and Savannah State at 20.5, 20.6, and 22.8 respectively. We are also 349 out of 351 in steals per game.

We're getting blocks instead of blocking out.

Close.
As of today we are 330th out of about 351 schools... averaging 17.4 turnovers per game.
