Joel just put a call into all the men's programs. They need to cut their budgets to make up for the football team having an extra 2 nights in a hotel room.

I'm surprised ESPN hasn't said "we're owed a game on Tuesday, so the MAC has to keep Akron-Kent State on Tuesday or move another game"

Can we count this as a forfeit on Buffalo?

Can we ask that they cancel the Akron game too? That would save us all the embarrassment and frustration of losing to them again. 01-lauramac2

No you can't since UB was there and ready to play. The MAC cancelled the game and it was the Kent State equipment truck taking an idiotic route to UB that was a major reason for the cancellation. That equipment will probably be sitting on route 5 in Lackawanna for a few more days.

If Buffalo wins next week they would be 5-6. Would the NCAA make an exception and make them bowl eligible?

Even if they went 6-6 this year they would not be bowl eligible since they have 2 FCS wins. However, there could be a shortage of bowl eligible teams year, so they could of had an outside shot at 6-6. A 5-6 record will take them out for sure though.

Maybe one of you can explain why since the game was cancelled we can not still play Tuesday night? This way the team still gets to go on Thanksgiving break I know alot of them had already purchased tickets to fly out.

It was because it didn't allow KSU 5 days (MAC standard) to prepare for the Akron game.
