I don't think this thread had the intended effect.
Invite ULL and GS over and it will be locked within 3 pages.
Don't tempt us!
Yep GS and ULL folks need to get over here before they hug this thing out instead of playing a football game.

Drippy. Upon further review, I believe it was about the old SAC plans.

All these years we had the best of almost everything compared to the other Southern Conference teams, now, the administration knows what it needs to do if we are going to be able to compete with you guys on a level playing field. Hopefully, our new Chancellor understands this and we can make the improvements needed.
I don't think we're used to people saying that about us. WKU fans used to crack lines like that as a way to make fun of what we had.
Well, get used to that from App fans. Although we may have our few ignorant and cocky fans, for the most part, we are so honored and grateful to be in the Sun Belt. I think most App State fans would love to be what A-State is one day. You guys are an amazing team with incredible facilities. It's great to be here with you, along with the Cajuns and everybody else.
Eh...You've got a good start on us already on a few of the Olympic Sports. Though I am curious how much of your domination in those areas is simply due to how awful the SoCon was.

The weather talk reminds me. One weekend killing time I went through a LOT of box scores and discovered one of the F_U's (think it was FAU) at the time had never won a game when the temp at kickoff was below 70.

I'm very curious to see how App plays this week against the top tier of the conference.

RE: The Official ASU vs ASU Discussion thread
We've only played one of the top teams in the conference to date (Ga Southern) but have to do it two weeks in a row now. This will be a real test and I think all App fans are aware that we have a step up in competition. When is all is said and done we will play likely the three best SBC teams all on the road. Not sure anyone else has to run that gauntlet. I like the way we are playing and are doing so with a lot of confidence but quite frankly Knighten is the kind of mobile QB that gives us trouble. I'm hopeful we can hang in there long enough to make it a game but not certain we are quite there yet.

Oh geezzz... You know you can't trust anything Drip said! I had never heard that about the failed SAC. It was a building clouded in secrecy. They picked a ridiculous location and it went from 12K to 10K to being dropped.

And we played at GaSo 5 days after making a trip to S Miss. That was tough on a young program not used to multiple long road trips. I'm sure our guys were jazzed up for the Eagles and had we scored that TD to open the 3rd qtr and make it 24-21, things would have gotten interesting. We are a totally different team now, but still a very young bunch - especially on defense. I was surprised how our young kids on the OL handled ULM's pressure. It'll be interesting to see if they can continue improving against a very talented Ark St team.

I think our OL played great in the sense that they didn't give up a sack, and the last winning drive, per Lamb, no one laid a hand on him, but, he still got knocked down alot, and forced to rush alot of throws. There was one play in the third where the DL drilled Lamb to the ground, Lamb immediately went to the side line, holding his shoulder, and required medical attention. I thought, oh no, a shoulder injury, thankfully, it turned out to be not too serious. If that keeps up he will not make it thru the next 2 games.

No, but Ga So needs either a track or a fence on the stadium wall as a buffer zone to keep the students who sit behind the visiting bench from throwing things at the players.

I'm offended that you thought that we could possibly have a freakin track around our field.

You will be pleased to note, we intentionally put our students and our rowdiest season ticket holders right behind the visiting bench as well.
And there is no fence.

Announced? Probably 19K. Actual? 16
This is an awful situation for us. Gun Deer Season is two weeks long in Arkansas, so this is the last chance for Arkansans to hit the woods with a gun until Next November. Many Hunters avidly refuse to miss Sunday church services, so its easier to sacrifice a football game. Then, we're looking at temperatures in the 40's for the first time all year, with the potential for rain, and no offense, but App State isn't exactly a name opponent over here.
My guess is we'll have more for the New Mexico State game two days after Thanksgiving then we will for this one. Jonesboro has the only mall within a 75 mile radius, so you have to come into town if you want to Black Friday shop. Makes it excusable to bring the family and let some go to the game.

Don't give away all our home field secrets... That would be like telling them that if y'all win you tear down the goal posts and ram it through their bus windows, somethings people just need to learn on their own.

I guess App should wear their bright yellow (gold) jerseys to keep from being mistaken for deer.

Do you guys have the reddest fanbase in the SBC? I've never heard deer season as an excuse for attendance.
