Anywho, this will be the first ever meeting between the schools stylizing themselves as Applachian State and Arkansas State. We have next to no history with one another, though we did both become ASU in 1967, and we share Black as one of our primary colors. We also both have a stud RB and rabid fan bases. The only other thing we have in common was a battle over a recruit by the name of Devil...I mean Eaton, that started a Twitter war between our fan bases after he attempted to essentially commit to both of us. He then went to Temple and left us both staring at each other going "Well, what now?" Half our coaching staff came from North Carolina which probably makes them the axis of evil in Boone, and App almost hired Tim Horton, which might as well be the axis of evil to stAte fans.

Apparently App is bringing their weather with them...we're doomed.

I'm no rocket scientist but I'd put my money on ASU to win.

rule only applies to those who have no shot at winning at anything else (see FGSU)

We are A-State or stAte. It is official. As far as I'm concerned the fight is between Arizona State and Alabama State now.

Yeah, they can have ASU. We are the one and ONLY A-State

Suddenly this game looks like it might be a lot more competitive than one would have expected a few short weeks ago. This will be another measuring stick for how much the Apps have improved. stAte looked pretty darn good this weekend and at home will be a real challenge for the Apps. As for the ASU debate, we are App State. I'm sure stAte doesn't care about it either. I hope they get 4 inches of snow by game time.

I don't know what's been up with the weather this year, but yall need to keep this cold shat up there!

App is gritty. I think stAte will get the win but it should be a good game next week in Jonesboro.

If you had to compare which fan base the two new kids are most similar to it would probably be App-Ark St and GS-ULL.
