Hurt on the first drive. Supposedly a head injury. Seemed fine on the sidelines in the first half. No clue if there have been any updates. Turned it off at the end of the 2nd quarter.
He was checked on the sidelines for a concussion in the 1st quarter, then didn't put his helmet on for the rest of the game. Likely a concussion. Who knows how long he'll be out?

Well, looks like Bolden will get to end his career with an extended opportunity at QB. Problem is that he gets to quarterback the team he deserves.

Confirmed that Bell suffered a concussion. May or may not seem him again this year.

Bolden? Roback? And, thankfully, a bye week to sort things out.

RE: Game Day: CMU
Dear Friends,
Can't disagree with what most people have said, but after watching the game, these are my observations. Bolden, if he is going to be our quarterback, has to look for secondary receivers. Although, the receivers continue to drop the ball, killing drives. The continuance of penalties taking us out of first down opportunities isn't helping either. Tackling in general, very poor, and poor pursuit on the bubble screens.
Someone mentioned it, so I am just repeating; the team came out flat, there was no fire, passion, or desire that I could see, and this was against our rival. You think they would be fired up?

RE: Game Day: CMU
Here is my take on the game today..
1. Once again, not a good offensive game plan
2. Not good play calling
3. Once again, poor offensive line play
4. We never get a receiver wide open, and when we do, we don't catch the ball. Everything is to the tight ends or to running backs that are playing receiver . We never stretch the field! Yes we throw a seam route, but we never throw a fade pattern or wheel route. Throw a fade to Creel and let's see what happens.
5. This is why you don't have 169 pound QB running the ball 20-25 times per game..we are very lucky he has lasted this long. If we keep running Bolden, we are going to get him beat up too, as we witnessed today. Roback just got cleared this week to play after 6 weeks, from his facial fractures.
6. Even last year we had running backs going over 100 yards. Per game with a pro style offense. We could throw the ball down the field with a pro style offense, and we are getting beat by teams running the pro style offense. (Michigan State, CMU. Florida Pro, and passing spread, Old Dominion passing spread..UMass pro style) and passing spread is passing the ball down field, without your QB running the ball 25 times.

A GLIAC team could have produced 97 yds, to continue operating with an offense dependent on a strong QB and despite the being the
bottom team in division 1 stats no changes are made lowers this
coaching staffs credibility.

And what makes you think mens basketball will be any better? My information from a number of students is that they weren't all that impressed with the scrimmage.07-coffee3

Yep, because a team can be fully judged based on a scrimmage that was all for show. Come on, man.

To be fair to basketball they will be breaking in several new players. It will take time for the team to gel.

I've heard the same, for what it's worth. Looks to be a rebuilding year.

I wouldn't call a team which has three returning starters, all averaging double digits, rebuilding.

That is a very good nucleus to build on.

When I think rebuilding I think of Braun's 91-92 team or Barnes 98-99 team.

This year's team is reloading with experienced D-I talent rather then freshmen.

That is not my terminology, but rather my source's. Personally, I'm expecting a similar season to last year.
