RE: When I see a crowd like this
Actual attendance was prob 18,000. Pretty sad. I actually agree with OP on everything but the whole dropping football part. If we had a 35,000 OCS, there would never be another bad attendance thread again. LBS is just too dang big. Consistent ACTUAL average for our football is 25,000-30,000 and consistent ACTUAL average for basketball is 12,000-15,000

I see you are in full rage mode tonight. lol

The tigers are not out in bumfluck in the middle of nowhere. This is a city. Its the same for every school that is based in big city, You have to win to bring them out. There are a gazillion other things for people to do on a Friday and Saturday when you live in a big city like this.

We are no different than anyone else. Plus, we actually have a 40+ year history of football ineptitude to overcome. It doesn't turn around just because we were 4-3 going into this game. This program is still in the very early stages of development.

Keep winning, they will keep showing up more and more.

I'm not in full rage. Quit putting your head in the sand. I could hear echos. It is what it is. live with it.

So what should be done with 80 percent of the AAC? Seriously, our attendance is not terrible by AAC standards.

What about by P5 standards. If you wanna be withem you gotta act likem

Your comparing the Chicago Cubs to the Memphis football program?

03-lmfao

A World Championship? Memphis hasn't even won a small conference title before.

You're serious right? We're talking 81 home games a year and they draw 3 million. They also have another baseball team in the Chicago White Sox. A football team in the Chicago Bears. A hockey team in the Chicago Blackhawks. A basketball team in the Chicago Bulls. A soccer team, minor league hockey teams, etc etc. They all sell out.

Thats fans!

My father is 91 years old. He's never seen his team win!!!!!!!!

He talks about the time he was overseas in the war when he listened to the cubs on the radio in the 1945 World Series while he was in Okinawa. That's a fan!

You could say the same about:

Tulane, SMU, Temple, UCONN, USF, Tulsa, Houston.

So that makes it ok? Yeah. That'll get us to the big12...

What do you care if we get there or don't? People like you will never be happy with any outcome. I believe Coach Cal had a name for you.

5-3 in ain't getting us into the P5 either.

We're going to have to be patient and realistic while letting JF build this thing before we are in that position.

Gimme a break. Regardless of where you live? I'm 1500 miles away from Memphis.

What's your neighbors excuse?

I don 't care where you live. I put my money down and went to the game. If you are so concern about attendance get yourself to Memphis for the next game. You are just being negative . We won the game , that is all that matters.

Seems the more successful the Tigers are, the more complaints from some. Seems sad, if not suspicious.

And who the heck can blame then when the tigers have been a laughing stock in football for 40+ years?

I mean, get real man.

Can we at least post ONE winning season before roasting the fan base over attendance that is already better than most of the conference?

This is just absurd.

We won. It's a good one and a fun night.

Much like Chi, I didn't go. I live in NYC. I watched in a bar in Brooklyn and everyone was wondering why I was screaming when the ball was out of bounds during the Bulls/Cavs game.

My GF and I discussed the attendance and we thought it was light and a bit of a bummer, but it IS halloween and a Friday night. I'm going with that and celebrating a BIG win.

Who is with me?

Thats exactly what we're talking about!!!!!!!

The Cubs haven't won in 108 years. Once again..........108 YEARS! They fill that little filthy park up every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think about it. Have you ever been to Chicago in the Spring?????????????? When its 38 degrees out and the wind is blowing a gale????????????? They still fill the f'king shithole up.

You're saying wait until they win for a few years because they haven't won since 2006??????? Try waiting for a team that hasn't won since not 2006 but 1906. Think about it moron.
