This entire thing is an epic fail.

The cubs are a world famous franchise and people from all over the country and world go to cubs games. Its one of the top tourist attractions in one of the biggest cities on the planet Earth. Cubs games are an American institution.

Furthermore arguing about the 108 years without a title is also pointless because the cubs have been a very competitive team through the 108 years. Winning multiple division titles and pennants. They've had some of the most famous players, games and moments in baseball history thru the entire run. They are simply one of the most popular and beloved teams in all of modern sport.

Now lets compare that to Memphis football.

The tigers are not out in bumfluck in the middle of nowhere. This is a city. Its the same for every school that is based in big city, You have to win to bring them out. There are a gazillion other things for people to do on a Friday and Saturday when you live in a big city like this.

We are no different than anyone else. Plus, we actually have a 40+ year history of football ineptitude to overcome. It doesn't turn around just because we were 4-3 going into this game. This program is still in the very early stages of development.

Keep winning, they will keep showing up more and more.

I doubt there has ever been more stuff going on in the city in one night. You can add Trolley Night to the list, Halloween events and parties all over. Halloween has become a very big event for young adults. And there are many people who decide to stay in just BECAUSE it is Halloween, and others who like to stay home and greet trick 'r treaters. I think our crowd was pretty good tonight.

Chi-Town, with all due respect, how in the heck do you know what it was like in the Liberty Bowl tonight? Did it look that horrible to you on television? Dude, chill. It was really a fantastically fun night for all who attended, aside from being cold and windy. The tailgating was great, as always, and Bret Michaels was a blast. The Tiger Walks have had more people this year than ever. Everything fell into place nicely, even the fireworks after the touchdowns.
