Why would anyone want to help us out? We're a mediocre team that's won their games playing middle school competition and doesn't deserve to be recognized on any national level.

I realize you're being facetious, but he did something pretty special yesterday and I think the deserves some recognition for it. At the very least his impact on the game was about as much as one could get. If he didn't have that performance we probably don't win that game and everything else is academic at that point.

You are correct. I was being facetious, and I agree with you, and I agree with you, and I agree with you (and I agree with you), on all points. And, of course, I voted. :)

I think it should be a no-brainer: without Johnson Marshall loses to FAU. The other three were important for their teams but their teams were probably still winning.

Where does he stand as far as contention for Conference USA Player Of The Year?

Voted.
I watched the first quarter of the FAU-MU game this morning. That first run from scrimmage was unbelievable. Kid is the real deal.

As of 12:30pm, Devon's lead is slipping...
Holding with only a 3% point lead...
This would be great for CUSA, please keep it up y'all!

Without the offensive line they lose the game. Johnson is getting a lot of credit, but on his long runs he wasn't even touched. Obviously he's got 4.6 speed, but the O-line were the reasons for at least 150 of those yards.

In this particular game, that may well be true. But you know as well as anyone (ECU isn't at that different of a level to what we are, and faces many of the same challenges) that any publicity we can drum up is good for both the school and the conference. In a way, we're not just voting for Johnson's Saturday. We're voting to get him recognized for the entire season he's had at this point. It's good for all of us if he's in the national public eye.
