OK, so I lowered the bar and included the 4 loss seasons in '03 & "04 because they seemed very successful seasons and '04 was 3 losses regular season. We were 7-4 in 1974, 1975, & 1976.

Other than that, a handful of 6-5's and one 7-5 is the best we've done . . . in FORTY freakin' years. This is why, after seeing the performance against Middle TN and Cincy, I'm sick that we had Cal-Los Angeles and Misspissi on the schedule this year. It seems like we would have had an excellent shot at putting up a historic record. (Well, we still do, but it's not going to be "most ever".)

I'll be surprised if Ifedi plays. We have a bye week coming next week.

I once had a very young, know-it-all waitress laugh my face off when I said soon Tiger football would get back to its winning ways. The 1960's and 1970's had a lot of success to enjoy on the gridiron and I had a blast. Pity the poor child that had no clue. Get back, whippersnappers! The Tiger is about to roar again!

I don't see where anyone else has mentioned this - probably because so many people here seem to be so offended at the thought of subscribing (even though they actually give the Tigers a ton of coverage relatively speaking) - but there is an article in the online CA tonight about Tank Jakes that mentions that Ifedi returned to practice today after being out a month. no further mention other than that, so don't know what that means - full practice? playing Saturday? at least he's back at practice, though.

Don't know much about how the word was coined or for what reason, but I do like the word itself, not as much as feckless, but '**********' definitely gets my vote for funny word of the week.

Ifedi was 'available' to play in the UC game in certain pass rushing situations but only *if needed* --- he, obviously, wasn't -

Ifedi is from Houston, so he might really want to play in this one.
