How the heck is UTSA basically a 2 TD favorite over FIU???

Did the line change from 12.5 to 22.5 - 24 points overnight? If so that's a pile of cash being bet on us overnight.

I may have mixed up my numbers when typing. My apologies. I'm pretty sure it was 21.5.

Oh sorry thought you lost to FIU at home....You played Miss. ST. well on the road....TRoy and A&M I did not include for play......Your players acted like they won the Super Bowl Sat. night so maybe I should say expect a letdown from UAB this week, sorry..

They have done that after every win. When you have had a drought this long you savor it all.

Middle Tennessee @ Marshall: Marshall by 28.
Rice @ Army: Never know with Army, but I think Rice gets it done.
North Texas @ UAB
FIU @ UTSA: I can't imagine FIU being 3-0 in conference and UTSA being 1-5 this year. I think the universe starts to even things out.
Old Dominion @ UTEP: ODU has already gone West once and picked up a conference win. I think they get another close one.

Well Old Timer isn't doing this particular thread, but I am faithfully keeping all of the records, so we will be able to crown a pickem champ. I report on the latest results as the last post of the week in each one. last week I reported that Nasty Bunch is leading all pickers through Week 6 with 48 correct choices, but there about 6 others over 40.

Watch for the results at the end of the week. BTW you are in the thick of the hunt with 44 correct choices as of last week.

RE: Wk 7: Lines in the Sand
Most of our regular "pickers" have weighed in, but I'll accept tallies and predictions received here prior to12:00 kickoff on Saturday. Be sure to watch for week ending results, that I will post on Sunday morning, as the last post in this thread.

Here are the trends as cast by our picking prognosticators through Thursday at 3:30.

Marshall over Middle Tennessee (28-0)
Rice over Army (23-3): 2 voters didn't cast a pick for either team
UAB over North Texas (22-6)

The rest of the games are basic pushes, but here is where we stand:
UTSA over FIU (15-13)
UTEP over Old Dominion (15-13)
Charlotte over The Citadel (13-11)

Middle Tennessee @ Marshall: i'll lolololol if it's a horrendous beatdown.
Rice@ Army Army very tough at home.
North Texas @ UAB: not just because uab drilled us either.
FIU @ UTSA: fiu gonna buss utsa quarterback inna mouf all day long
Old Dominion @ UTEP: last year txsate won a couple early and thought fbs was so easy a caveman could do it. then their lines started getting worn down by bigger stronger.

Future Conference Member
Charlotte@ The Citadel: haven't seen a reason to pick charlotte yet.

I must break the trend!!

Middle Tennessee over Marshall (38-35)
Rice over Army (31-14)
UAB over UNT (28-21)
FIU over UTSA (31-17)
ODU over UTEP (24-21)
Charlotte over The Citadel (28-24)

I wonder how bad (or good!!) these picks will look at the week's end.

Go CUSA & GO BLUE!!

Good for you. Someone had to pick Middle. I think it's going to be closer than most expect. (Although I'd just as well prefer a blow out by the Herd in the first half...just don't expect it.)

RE: Wk 7: Lines in the Sand
PERFECTION! Stick4489 was the only "picker" this week to predict a perfect Pick 6!. We had number of pickers who picked 5, but only Stick called them all correctly. That moved him up to a tie for second place:

In the aggregate, through 7 weeks, NastyBunch retained his lead with 52 correct picks. Tied for second at 50, are Stick4489 and Cnelson203. Rounding out the top 12 pickers are Dawg87 (49); CincyDave (46); olliebaba (45); WKUFan518 (44); Digi368 (43) and three pickers tied at 41: ATTALLABLAZE, Goldeneagle21, and ODU AGGIE. Congratulations folks.

Final results

Marshall -49 over Middle Tennessee - 24
Rice - 41 over Army - 21
UAB -56 over North Texas -21
UTSA - 16 over FIU - 13
UTEP - 42 over Old Dominion - 35
The Citadel - 63 over Charlotte - 56 (2 OT)
