May? UNC-Queen City is new to this football thing.
Yep, give us a couple years to get up to speed. Lots of recruits in the Charlotte area.
BTW - congrats on smacking the Tar Holes.

We'd lay 70 on NC State too. Nice little jab there with the mid-major crap.
Yup, they're pretty fortunate they don't play us this year. Hell, I'd be willing to sig bet that we beat their asses next year right now. Any wolpfack takers?
I thought he was a Maryland fan. Still....we'd smack em.

There is no such thing a mid major in football. How would you describe Vanderbilt or Wake Forest?

Yeah I'll take that.
In fact I will bet you $10,000 that you can't beat us next year.
However I do wish you luck getting to this year's Peach Bowl, you should have beaten SC and if you don't lay an egg the rest of the way, you should do as well as you did back in 1991.

You just earned 10K buddy.
2016 when we play should be an interesting game if NCSU keeps on moving in the right direction.
I know it wasn't the toughest schedule but the offense is looking a lot better than last year.

I had to take advantage of Blunder's blunder.
It's too bad ECU pissed the game away with SC, they have the talent to run the table in the AAC and that would have given the playoff committee real heart burn with a 13-0 Pirate team that had beaten SC, who will have beaten UGa and others, as well as beating VT, who beat Ohio State.

UNC's players thought a 70 on anything was a good day.

ECU will not be the same without Carden. He's a once in decade QB for you - he's a game changer akin to Phillip Rivers or Russell Wilson at State. You are fortunate that you have a defense to back him.
State did not get it's defense in place until the year after Rivers graduated. Had he redshirted we had a 13-0 quality team in 2004 with two first round draft choices on the defensive side. Wilson also never had the kind of defense you have now.
I'm hoping you run the table for the rest of the year and that you go back to being average by 2016 because our kids will not be able to focus on you due to playing ND that year.

In some respects I agree with your point in others I do not. Dominique Davis put up crazy numbers here and he was the qb before Carden. What is happening though is the system has been in place longer, the talent has been recruited in to work it, and the coaching of it has gotten better.

Before Carden; ECU had Dominique Davis. Dominique Davis set 2 NCAA records for consecutive completions, when he broke marks held by Tee Martin of Tennessee and Aaron Rodgers of California.
http://espn.go.com/college-football/stor...ompletions
The offensive line that Davis played behind at ECU was not nearly as good as the o-line that Carden plays behind, but Davis was outstanding and he put up some huge numbers (7,192 passing yards and 62 touchdowns in just 2 years (37 touchdowns his first season, both of which are ECU records. Davis also got a lot of rushing yards)). There was not much more Davis could do behind that o-line, because it was atrocious; and of course ECU's defense back then was terrible. However, Davis' numbers were spectacular considering the talent on the team when Ruff first got to Greenville. So I don't think that people should just assume that ECU is going to drop when Carden leaves, because ECU is running a system and they just plug in the next quarterback. I think that if ECU has a drop then it will be because they did not recruit properly on the offensive and defensive lines.

All the ECU fans who are in the know say our backup is actually legit...but don't tell anyone! Lots of people like to argue that Carden is a product of the system anyway....although I think he has intangibles that cannot be taught...he is very intelligent and hardworking.
Didn't he transfer from Harvard? How'd he go from Harvard to ECU? Not a knock on ECU, just curious.
He wanted an education from a regionally accredited school.
What?
How many of the Ivy League schools are regionally accredited?
