That's what I mean when I say we stunk up the place. And I have to tell you I really got tired of listening to the Kent State announcers talking about your suffocating defense. When Simons has one open look after another and can't hit a shot they can talk all they want about how Kent State really shut him down but I'm sorry, I didn't see it that way. And when a team goes almost eight minutes without being able to score anything it's often not due to the defense but lousy offensive play.

Okay, enough of my sour grapes. Again, nice win Kent State. You are all alone in first place. You have earned it - enjoy it.

I'm curious did you actually get to see the game? I unfortunately did not (first home game I've missed in years). So I'm curious if your take on our defense was just based on how the announcers were describing it or did you have video? It's always interesting to get the opposing fans take on how our team looks.

I saw the game and I've seen CMU play before. Sure they missed some open jumpers that they normally make but KSU closed out so quickly on most of their 3pt attempts that the CMU shooters were hurried and their rhythm interrupted over and over again. Most of the time KSU's defense was stifling. Reminded me of what Cleveland State had a few years ago.
