For a fanbase happy to be rid of TT, they sure are obsessed with him and UC.

It's easy to draw a lot of fans if your are winning a lot of games. It's ain't so easy to draw fans when you are losing games.
Tennessee had their first sellout in six years on Sunday.
In fairness to Tennessee they have a 102K seat stadium and even during a down period they are putting 90K butts in the seats.
However, Tenn is held to a different standard than those other teams. They are in the SEC. They are TN flagship institution. They feel they are one of the top 5 if not 10 programs, all time. A program with those qualifications should sellout every game.
One thing I do not understand about Tenn, is how a school with a great tv contract and, as you say, sells 90k plus tickets had an athletic department in the red.

Former coaches Fullmer, Kiffin and Dooley are all still getting nice, big, fat checks.

Makes sense, Tennessee fired those coaches with 4 and 5 years left on their contracts.
