USF had this as our announced figures for the USF vs. WCU game; announced attendance: 31,651, student: 6,392.

Well be full this weekend.
If we are 3-1 going into Texas State we should have a decent crowd.

Yep, probably 20,000 - 25,000.
I'm just guessing with rain and playing a crappy team. I think we will average above 40,000.
I think that I heard 27,363
Personally, that's good considering how crappy the weather was and opponent.

Well... I thought the weather was GREAT!!! No lightning, and it wasn't 100 degrees. Of course, when you get back to the car, you have to have a change of clothes, and everything in your pockets is soaked, but hey?

I did make the comment "this is WAY better than 105 and sunny, like the Miss State game years ago. Folks were passing out right and left."

I noticed a lot of empty South side chair backs in the Pirate Club section from my view in the UD. Was the same thing apparent on the North side? If so...PC members need to step their schit up.

Become a PC member....the heavy donors (5,6,7) usually don't show up well on Labor Day.

CR, where'd you find that number? JW.
You can thank the 2 thursday night games for killing season ticket #s along with the stupid 3 game mini packs which include UNC. The thursday night #s are going to be brutal I have a feeling.
We've sold over 20k season tix. Crappy opponent, late start and labor day wknd are all a factor. If I'd blame it on anybody I'd blame it on the grey hairs in the purple seats. They were about 1\3 empty. Student section, north side and upper deck were pretty full.

Wow, from my seats, it looked like at least 45K. Must've been a bunch of empty seats behind me, lol.
I was in the upper deck. All looked pretty full except the purple chair backs.

Really though, I was pretty excited to see how full Houston's stadium was last night.
So far:
Houston: 40,755
UConn: 35,150
Tulsa: 19,032
Not bad imo. UConn and Tulsa are right around their 4 year average. Houston well above. Time to see what Memphis, USF and ECU have. Will be interesting to see how well the conference draws throughout the season.
Houston's stadium seats 43,000 and change. There were more than 3,000 empty seats.
the capacity is 40k and we were 700 over capacity
The upper decks looked a bit sparse on the edges even in the 1st quarter. Not saying there weren't a junk ton of people there though.
As I said in the game thread, Houstonians are notoriously late arrivals. There was also a bottle neck for parking and at the gates. I know of some people that arrived on campus 45 minutes before kick and didn't get into the stadium until 8:30.
I took some panoramic shots during the 2nd quarter, and it looked full. Also, we have standing room all around the concourses, especially the endzones, where people hang out and drink.
Well, if you're telling us that stadium was at capacity, then those figures are a bald-face lie.
There were empty seats in the beginning, in the middle - and, of course, a ton of them at the end.
They were empty at the 50 yard line, in the upper deck and in the ned zone.
I understand the need to present a fresh face with the new stadium, but there is NO way that stadium was anywhere close to being full.

LOL at the "TV judge." You weren't there. I was. It was packed by the second quarter after everyone who fought traffic and parking issues finally made it in.
Those who weren't in their seats were on the concourses.

RE: Week 1 Attendance.
We had ticket scanners at the gates for goodness sake. Like a real pro stadium.
In fact, they were very slow, very new, very inept ticket scanners, which is one of the reasons why 1000 people were still in line to get into an 8:00 pm game at 8:30 pm.
40,755 is an accurate "butts in seats" number.
BearcatsUC is just upset because the most people ever to come to Cincy's campus for a football game is 36,007. Of course, that was for Purdue who traveled a lot more people than UTSA did.
We had 13% more on Friday than Nippert's ever had. Suck on it, BearcatsUC.

Almost everyone has ticket scanners now, but they still publish sold tickets.
