People are way overhyping BG because they beat NIU handily. They are a good team but not a top 25 team.

Also, they haven't beat a power 5 team since I was in high school (2008) and they aren't gonna do it at Camp Randall. They may beat IU at home though.

BG beat one good team last year and you'd think they were Florida State or something.

How does BG "deserve" one vote? If no one voted for them, then they don't get in there.

If you "think" they deserve it, blame any voter with MAC ties or covers the MAC. Maybe they don't think they deserve it. But you know the local blowhard voters in PAC-10, B-10, ACC, B-12 and especially SEC are all voting their schools in and some high, deserving or not. You would think someone with ties to MAC would see them as a viable candidate. But then again, maybe not. Just another problem for the MAC.

Not surprised at all NIU didn't get any votes. Ended last year with 2 losses, and need a new QB and D-line this year.

MAC with no votes is more of a statement regarding the shift of the MAC outside of the FBS, the pollsters are just trying to make that distinction, its not indicative of the quality of teams in the MAC at all.

The sad thing is you probably believe that.
