MAC with no votes is more of a statement regarding the shift of the MAC outside of the FBS, the pollsters are just trying to make that distinction, its not indicative of the quality of teams in the MAC at all.

Why? Who deserves votes? The league went 0-5 in 2013 bowl games. Everybody on here doesn't believe Toledo is better than the Huskies, many believe last year's Bowling Green win wasn't a true reflection of the two teams; the acknowledged powerhouse in the MAC (NIU) for the last few years has to find a replacement for a QB that finished third in the Heisman, replace a guy that might just be a starter for the 49ers; not to mention a defense that some would argue got shredded in its last two contests. So if the class of the MAC (NIU) has all these issues, then who in the league deserves votes right now?
More importantly, so what. We've got a coach, a team, and a majority of fans who would rather be ranked at the end of the year instead of going into it. No respect for NIU --- what else is new?

BG definitely deserves votes this year, but there are a heap of teams on that list that don't deserve votes that got them. It is not even worth arguing this year, this poll has absolutely no meaning now, completely completely irrelevant.

Pre season polls are not worth a warm bucket of spit and yes if I had a vote BG would be represented for now.

Yep, but as time goes on , and we have already seen this trend get more pronounced the past 3 years, p5 schools really the only ones to get serious consideration in these polls. That trend will continue.
