Three changeups in the dirt, 4 other changeups for balls, 1 foul, one "hit". 9 changeups that weren't very effective in the sixth.
Average fastball is 86.8, but it's skewed by three of the first five fastballs being 85 or under (none of the subsequent ones were), so you can see how the perception is that his fastball was off.
I couldn't really see how the Aggies were signalling the pitches. I could see him reach to his face or hat after the sign but before the windup. So, I wonder if they were stealing signs as much as seeing something McDowell did. But, my opinion is pretty uninformed and raw. I have only a vague idea of what the runner would look for and no clue how they would signal back to the batter.
It did seem like Rice had changed up the signs with runners on 2nd.
