The only solution is the champ game deregulation.

For some folks who aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed themselves, there sure is a lot of calling others "stupid", or "dolts" or worse on here. Debates are usually a lot more productive without the trash talk.
There's no right answer to these issues.

the reason FSU and Clemson were so against 9 acc games is it would make it very difficult to guarantee 7 home games yearly with there sec yearly games and ND every 3 years.

That isn't the only solution if ncaa approved a 13 game regular season 9 acc games would be approved for sure

And Chris reveals the real game afoot - the 13th game. In America you get nothing for solving a problem before it blows up - therefore you have to wait for the problem grow and gain traction in the public consciousness. The B12, SEC, and ACC are all positioned to say - "if you expect us to play two P-5's then we need an extra game".

That's not an option.

RE: McMurphy: ACC considering playing other ACC schools as OOC games
I'm rather confused as to how scheduling a conference team out of conference is a bad thing. will it give a conference team a loss, yes. but there are a couple of things to consider here:
1. it's not going to affect the conference race. at all. what is going to happen if these same two teams meet in the title game? nothing. one team might (MIGHT) have an advantage just through playing each other but as everyone says the team at the beginning of the season isn't the same at the end.
2. with the new playoff procedures what are the chances that a team with a loss is one of the 4? I would say pretty good. and with that thought in mind it doesn't matter if a/either acc representative has a loss. if the polls shake out so that two acc teams make it in, that ooc loss to an acc team would not be as hurtful and if that loss was to the acc champion as that improves the strength of schedule.
the way that it is being thrown about here, every team is going to do this. no they all aren't. the only ones I could see doing this are the ones who want to rekindle that old rivalry, can't find a p5 team to schedule and aren't in nd's rotation this year, or just want to play that opposite division team sooner than 6 years later. what are the chances that's likely? again, none of this affects the conference race.

If NC State played Duke OOC, how often do you suppose they would have a rematch in the CCG? Or UNC - Wake Forest?

About as often as Miami and Florida State I'd guess?

LOL. I don't believe that for a minute. I would put the chances of the NC schools both winning their divisions in the same year at less - a lot less - than 1%. On the other hand, history suggests there's a pretty good chance that the two Florida schools would get there. Granted, both of them went through a down period recently, but going forward I wouldn't argue with a 20-25% chance.

It's a joke, since Miami hasn't won d*** since they've joined the ACC.

That's what I was getting at, that despite fears it would happen nearly every year, it hasn't happened once. Just like UNC and NC State.

I know Louisville would probably want to play us, but with Strong gone, I don't know if their desire to play in Miami would be as great. Hey Cards, is Bobby P. trying to keep the Miami pipeline open?
I absolutely agree, though I'd rather see us playing Clemson or Louisville. That said, we do have a home game against the Tigers in 2015.

We would ABSOLUTELY LOVE That!! but the earliest it could happen is 2016. We could also get VTech, GTech, UNC & Duke more often.
FlossY out...
