RE: Basketball Transfer List 2014 Edition
As a side note, Johnson transferred halfway through the season. He left as soon as Willie Moore's suspension ended, Bill Edwards got healthy, and when we started playing decent basketball. May not be a coincidence.

RE: Basketball Transfer List 2014 Edition
this also doesn't give you a sense of most of the transfers who will be on the court next season. i.e. NIU had transfers from purdue and Kansas st, both guards, that are already on the team and practiced last yr and will play next season.

central just got 2 frosh recruits verballing. a 6-9 Michigan kid darohn scott who had a few mid major offers. pretty good size and finishing skills, not a lot of finesse or game away from the cup. also an eastern euro kid who did a basketball factory prep yr in the us, fillip medjo. physical 6-3 combo guard who is aggressive attacking the basket and likes the around the world playground move. neither looks transcendant from their tapes, but both add a little size and toughness to a roster that needed some upgrades to avoid being undersized overall

Dre Applewhite transferred halfway through the year, so he'll be eligible end of Fall '14 semester.

Add K. K. Simmons and Tyler Scott to KSU's transfers along with Devin Carter. None was a surprise.

KSU just picked up Deon Edwin (younger brother to former All-MAC Jason Edwin). He was the 4th leading JUCO scorer in the country (24 ppg.) this past season playing in Wyoming. He also had just received an offer from Kansas State and had been recruited by TCU and Wash. St. He started his career at S. Miss.

Impressive credentials. Could be a difference maker.

averaged 45.2 points per 40 min of play. should be able to score a little. then again, kent has enough guards who can score. they need well rounded big men and forwards.

Updated.

Interesting how three of the four leaving players with known destinations are going to other D-I schools. A sign of improving talent in the league?

Updated again. Changed Darell Combs' destination to IUPUI, Josh Lemon's destination to the U of Charleston, and Hayden Hoerdemann's to Ripon College.

Four transfers to D-I programs, to three going to lower divisions so far.

A few weeks ago, Miami got a JUCO transfer out of PF Kalif Wright (6'6, 225 lbs) from Kilgore College in Texas.

Another Miami transfer from the JUCO ranks, Leonard Livingston (6'10, 190) from Pensacola State College. Played at Florida-Gulf Coast his freshman year when they made the Sweet 16, he has two years of eligibility left. We needed size, and now we have it.

This is a photo of him...it's a little dated as it's from his freshman year but it looks like he has his JD headband on.

RE: Basketball Transfer List 2014 Edition
not transfers per se, but 3 of the 4 players in Ohio's 2014 class have requested and have been granted release from their NLIs. Players include 2 JUCOs and Tariq Owens, a 4 star recruit. The 4th recruit, a true freshman SG is committed "100%". Not a big surprise, these things happen when coaches change. Ohio now has 5 open scholarships for next year. No players from the current roster have requested release.

24 hours after being released by Ohio JUCO F Rodell Wigginton has signed with Buffalo. I'm sure the Ozone will greet him warmly when he visits Athens next year.
