The same is said about Saban and the NFL. That was a failure to the Nth degree.
Ah. People definitely remember Saban in the NFL much differently then how it went down.(he was 15-17 in 2 seasons) I still contend that if he would have gotten the QB he wanted(Brees, the doctors wouldn't clear him in Miami) that he would still be coaching in the NFL. The NFL is so reliant on QB play, and that was one thing missing from the Dolphins under Saban.

Delete it then. You do it to any other thread that takes a turn you hate.

How's this for a turn?
Pete Carroll's second foray into the NFL seems to have worked out okay.

I just noted the similarities. Yes, he was 15-17, but he missed the playoffs both seasons.

Miami has been a train wreck for quite a while though, and it wasn't just Saban.

No QB=not winning in the NFL. Miami hasn't had one in quite a while. We'll see how Tannehill works out.

Who cares? Not me.
But I do believe a lot of Saban's success at UAT has involved recruitment and manipulation, just like Calipari at Memphis and Kentucky.

All successful coaches use good recruitment and manipulation, yet Saban is the one brought up as an example, because of the obsession that UAB fans have with all things Bama.
Saban is discussed on this board more than our own coaches. So somebody cares.
No he's not.

Ok, that was an exaggeration, but he is discussed more than any other coach in our conference, and there is no good reason he should be.
You brought up f'ing coach Cal. You literally created an off topic thread about coach Cal. Do you not see the irony in the bitching about Saban. Guess what, we have now talked more on this board about Coach Cal than Brooks Thompson.
I don't like Duke, but I respect coach K. Oops, there's another we've talked about.
Manhattan is retaining their coach who left for USF. Damn, that's another one.
Frankie Allen, Gregg Nibert, Joseph Price. Those are the coaches at the teams with the 3 crappiest RPIs last year. There we go, now they've been discussed more than ol' Brooks has too.

While we're off the rails, let's talk about Garrick McGee.
Boy, that guy was a loser, huh?

An old saying is that everyone brings joy to a group - some by arriving and some by leaving. Coach Garrick McGee managed to do both - two years apart.
