WikiHow says we should never tell them they're stubborn. First we gotta butter 'em up and brag on their ideas, then we lead the poor dehydrated bazturds to water and let them think that drinking it was their own idea.

Yup.
Bruce Pearl X and O guy was his 3rd assistant.
Shay? He made $150K, years ago.
I am not 100% convinced of the "there is not enough dollars" for the 3rd assistant coach position. For the "right guy," and we can debate what the "right guy" is, I would think the $ could be secured.
I know, easy for me to say as I don't pay the bills, but in the world of big-time college athletics, I would think you can get the $ to get who you want.

I'm sure Pastner could ask. However, like any manager, I'm sure he has a budget for staff. And, we have two very well respected and well paid assistants in Kirby and Collins. The third guy just can't make that much.

Calkins does not think it is a problem. It is easy to tell others how to spent their money.

And who to hire; wonder if he asks Pastner when the CA has an opening who they should hire.

we could outsource the position to China and get a couple dozen new assistants for the price of one in America.
Why not, everyone else is doing it. Make that India though.

Good point. Then when I can't understand them I will at least know they are speaking English. Works for Comcast.
