Could Josh bolt?
The money he's making here might be too good, but I could see it.

Hadn't considered that. If he did, he might be doing us a favor. Just sayin. Wish Pearl had waited a little while to take the Auburn job.
Pearl wanted back in the SEC. Actually not surprise Pearl took the gig.

Why would anyone hire away Josh Pastner? What has he done to warrant that?

Stop it people!!! We made it to the second round, won 24 games. Hopefully CJP can get some physical and aggressive big men and every member of the
team can start taking the game seriously next season.

There's a reason that Buzz took the VT job and not a good one.
I'd hope we set our sights a bit higher.
Which is ? Why can't we say ? Are we now anonymously protecting other coaches for some reason ? I don't necessarily doubt you, but just wondering why we should set our sights higher when he was on CBS being roundly praised earlier this week. Stuff coming to Marquette shortly ? Will it be made public ?

I don't think CJP is the type to leave a job unfinished. He knows there is more work to be done here. But, to answer your question, yes, he could bolt I suppose.

Plenty of schools will look at his resume on paper and take that. They don't follow it as religiously as we do.

Plus nobody is going to come close to matching his current contract... That is why he will not be leaving anywhere, he would be forced to take a pay cut of almost half his salary most likely.

Very little chance he'll get a job good enough to pay him more than us.

Leave a job unfinished? Athletic coaching doesn't get that privilege. Each coach could say "I have a 19 year plan to get us to where everyone wants us to be"

We've been saying that every year for the last 3.

RE: Could Josh bolt?
If Josh were to leave, it would be to someplace that doesn't put the emphasis on basketball that Memphis does, because the pressure would be the only reason I could think of he would give up what he's making. And if that were the case, he wouldn't have the same facilities and wouldn't be able to get the same level of recruiting classes he has been getting, and without better players . . . well, I don't see him as likely to go anywhere of his own accord. When he's leaving, he'll find out at the hot dog stand unless he gets a lot better in the next few years. And it could happen. Stranger things have.
