Offense is just absolutely terrible. They can't hit.

Southern Miss.....1-3-5

Just another day at the office...

Eagles have committed 12 errors in the last five games while scoring only ten.

To make that number even more fun, we've only scored ten runs despite our opponents committing 12 errors of their own!

Three different pitchers committed errors, further supporting my theory that we don't actually practice fielding bunts.

I already want this season to be over. I really used to enjoy Golden Eagle baseball. Now it's just like watching the Bad News Bears on repeat.

I was going to post something similar earlier....had to delete it....it's beyond my ability to comprehend at this point....5 errors and only 3 hits?????? those are insanely crazy horrid numbers....

Errors in baseball are like turnovers in football, something bad usually follows.

Errors happen, but 5 in one game at this point in the season seems like a total breakdown and has to be more frustrating than poor hitting or lousy pitching.

Missouri committed 6 errors on Sunday against us and it led to zero runs. We can't score when teams are trying to help us.

Yeah, the sad part of the last couple of years is that it isn't like our team is having bad luck or our opponents are playing perfectly.

We finally look like we're going to get on a little streak and we throw one away against UTSA today. One bright spot is our starting pitching was brilliant the first two games.

There is only one chance at the postseason, and that's to win the tournament. The way Rice is playing.....yeah.

Easily could have swept.

Easily could have lost 2/3.

That's baseball.

This team is going to have weekends like this. There isn't a team in this conference (including Rice) that they CAN'T beat in a three-game series with our starting pitching and Roney coming out of the bullpen. Putting it together for any kind of stretch is the problem.

Durst is absolutely on fire since coming back from his injury.

Saturday loss was frustrating, because we had Roney warming up prior to the eighth when we gave up four runs, but never used him.

Nice series win Golden Eagles. I was on sucide watch yesterday after watching that walk off homerun. It looks like we are both in the same boat this year. Pretty solid starting pitching but our bullpen struggles. I was just shocked that Matt Sims got rocked so hard yesterday to lose the game. He is our version of Roney but like someone said that is baseball. This was our first series loss this year and it hurt being conference play. Go luck the rest of the way.

Exhibit 500000000 on my thesis on how the concept of the closer affects coaching decisions. We played two close games but our best reliever did not step on the mound.

Berry will occasionally do it....but too often hesitates to bring Roney in unless it is a traditional save situation.

Big win over Old Piss 5-3 last night to get above .500 for the first time this season at 13-12. Need to keep it going on the road at FAU this weekend.
