We've got to schedule better in that area next year, it killed our SOS. It's a head scratcher why that would be weighted so heavily since it can be so easily manipulated, but how you did against the 96th, 97th, or 120th team seemed awfully important in the seeding process this year.....for some.
Because the big conferences know 95% of the time, their teams are going to be in that range, so they created it and push it. Some teams set schedules to work the system and get a top 25 seed. See VCU who didn't beat anyone out of conference except for Virgina the first game of the season and the only other ranked team they beat was St. Louis at home. But they didn't have what some would consider 'patsies'. Not when you play Fordham, Winthrop, Long Beach St, Old Dimion, Wafford, Stoney Brook, George Mason, Duquesne, La Salle, Richmond, St. Bonaventure.
This joke of a schedule isn't deserving of a 5 seed. Except to a corrupt selection process.
btw, I saw a cardboard cutout of Smart on an endcap at Kroger today.
it was full of axe hair products.
I don't care who you are that's funny right there.

I totally agree, SMU would have made noise in the tournament. It was gonna be hard for them to put 5 teams from our conference in the tournament without people recognizing how good our conference was. So they just put 3 of our teams in the same bracket, shafted Louisville, and eliminated SMU. Problem solved.
When I said there was a conspiracy against us in UConn II people said I was nuts. Now, however, a larger conspiracy to stick it to the AAC is deemed possible?
They're both possible and we are going to see more of it as time goes on.

Again, I agree. There is a lot of publicity on how College football is corrupt. I do not disagree with this, but NCAA basketball is far from being perfect. I know people say its a tournament, and it is. That being said, tournaments can and will be manipulated by those creating the brackets.
