Haha, no, I actually wanted to ask some legitimate questions. We're all adults and we can act like adults.....Sometimes.

If just like to know if Bourne and the crew think that we're making the requisite progress and development in Baseball and MBB in particular. How is success measured for Bourne and the coaches. How is failure measured. What's their best sales pitch to get people to donate more other than "do it for the kids".

As far as whether we're making the requisite progress in those two sports, I think you could look at the records and form your own opinion unless regression is the goal. I assume you're asking a leading question without coming right out and saying "WTF is going on with these programs? They suck". Two different approaches, same question.

Oh, definitely. I want to hear them say that there's work to do, and that the current state of some of our major programs
Is unacceptable.

Good leaders don't need to be perfect. But they have to have an opinion and rally people to their cause. I want SOMEONE at JMU to start rallying people.

Withers has started very strong on that front. He may not be perfect, but you dont always need to be when you're doing lots of other things right.

And when I talk about rallying, I mean coaches and admin. We have a lot of great people on these boards. They shouldn't have to be the ones shouldering the load.

RE: Coaches Caravan 2014 dates announced.
They added a coaches caravan breakfast to the schedule for Thursday, meeting in Newport News. This actually fits my schedule, and I was considering attending. However, I am struggling to find a reason to actually go. The conference stuff is up in the air (if not dead); no new info will be given. The MBB team and baseball team are dumpster fires. I am excited about Withers and fb potential, but there has been a decent amount of negativity surrounding that program too. I guess it's a chance to meet some other alums and fans, but I was wondering if someone could offer some encouragement in regard to the value of this event. I am not trying to be sarcastic or negative but wanted to hear from someone who frequents these things.

I would like to ask Bourne how he gets out of bed each morning or manages to look in the mirror without vomiting. I would like to understand whether is is able to view himself as a man, given his lack of testicles. I would like to know whether he can look at his children without contemplating whether it was a mistake to further populate the world with those who share his same worthless genes.

It's not Bourne's fault that JMU athletics is in shambles. He's just the Athletic Director!

Good point. The same questions apply to Alger, but I doubt he will be there. I would also ask him about the type of personal kickbacks that Tom Yeager is providing him for keeping JMU in the CAA.

Hahaha I would definitely go again if I knew they were going to say "This next question is from rufus". I'd be sitting back in my chair with a straight vodka laughing my ass off.

Unfortunately, I don't think those questions would make it through the pre-screen.

Try asking something more Stoss-like. Reword your question to say "How awesome are you?"

You guys are tough. I work with a lot of "tough" individuals. Their talk is that of yours when in our little group. Getting them to speak their mind in front of "The Man" and before peers, they clam up every time. I challenge you to not be a "Bourne". Of course a little tact will go a good ways. Please walk your walk even if it is unpopular amoung outsiders. You need not be mean, just state what you perceive, back it up with examples, ask for a response, then shut up.

Reminds me of the old ESPN messaging where it was all anonymous. Man, people would say some crazy stuff. I kind of miss all the gamblers on there.

I hate to say this but I wasn't able to muster enough interest to make the drive from Suffolk out to this event tonight nor could I even find anyone that wanted to go. To those that are going, I look forward to hearing about the event but I expect it to be some of the same old excuses but with a different twist.

wow.

I don't know how Bourne can show up at a JMU athletics event. Looking forward to the screened questions that are being answered;

Q: Does your vag1na hurt when you hear 1A?
A: Tom Yeager says fcs is better than G5 foosball...and yes.

Q: Why did JMU build a $75M half fcs football stadium?
A: How did this questions get into the stack?

Q: Are you satisfied with the state of JMU athletics?
A: Yes, if I can survive the last two years, home free to retirement...

Q: Do you take estrogen supplements?
A: Yes, why do you ask, is my mustache growing back?

You don't want to know. More "JMU" speak about how good decisions aren't made out of fear.

What about common sense? Are they making decisions based of that?
